A 2-1 winning night yesterday, with only the Capitals letting us down. The Grand Salami Under 54.5 was a nice tight win – coming in at 53 goals. That Sharks/Wild game was nail-biting. My Habs also scored first to give us the win, and they also beat Tampa in a gritty one.
Sort of a quiet Friday night with just 6 games going – but man, do we start off huge or what? The Penguins take on the Bruins in their third and final match-up of the season – but this one is in Boston while the last two were in Pittsburgh. Sabres also looking for a big, big win against the Rangers tonight – they REALLY need to win that one I feel, or their season is pretty much over with.
Let’s get on with the NHL Betting Tips for April 19th, 2013 and remember – if you’re doing all three of these tips as an accumulator or parlay, do it at Bet365 with their 50% parlay bonus.
Grand Salami: Under 32.5 Goals
With 6 games on the board, even if every game gave us 5 goals we’re still winning the Grand Salami. 6 games is a nice amount of games to bet the under usually, because even if 2 games have a barrel full of goals, you can still often scrape through the under with the other 4 games.
I just don’t see many goals tonight. Pens vs Bruins will most likely be a tight affair, same with Rangers vs Sabres. Stars vs Blues is another where things are so tight, the teams will be wary of risks. Chicago and Nashville always have close low-scoring games(save for the April 7th game). I’m finding it hard to see where the goals will come from tonight, and so like the Under 32.5.
Predators vs Blackhawks Betting Tips: Highest Scoring Period = 3rd
I’m liking the highest scoring period in the Predators vs Blackhawks game to be the 3rd period. This is a bet you can make at Bet365 for 2.60 odds.
Nashville are out, Chicago are through. I think this game will start off quiet even though Blackhawks are well-rested, before becoming competitive in the 3rd. That’s where Chicago seem to be scoring the goals lately. They scored 3 of their 5 against Dallas in the 3rd, and about 50% of their goals this month have came in the 3rd period.
I like them to continue that trend tonight. They’ve still got the Presidents Trophy to play for, and will be gunning for that even if it does take two periods to really get going. So bet the 3rd Period as the Highest Scoring Period.
Rangers vs Sabres Betting Tips: Buffalo To Win
When the chips are down, I think the Sabres are going to be the ones coming out victors here to keep things close in the East. Buffalo pulled out a huge victory against Boston the other night, while New York struggled against the Flyers. New York DID win last night but will be tired. Both teams are going into this on-form with a 6-3-1 record for both.
Vanek is back and killing it, and I just can’t see past the Sabres tonight. Get 2.10 underdog odds on Buffalo at Bet365.
