A good night of NHL action last night and a good night for the tips too as we went 2-1.

We had the Sabres to beat the Maple Leafs and the Sabres scored the first 3 goals of the game and held on for the 4-1 win.  The Leafs are tied for last place in the league with the Oilers but have 2 extra games to play.

Our other win of the night was the Penguins to win in regulation against the Preds and after a 3 goal 2nd period the Pens won 5-2.  Phil Kessel scored twice to bring his goal total to 25.

The final tip of the night was also our loss when we had over 5 in the Flames vs Kings game.  The Kings won 3-0.  This was their 46th win of the year and ties a franchise record.

A slower night with only 5 games but some important ones.

Blackhawks vs Jets Betting Tips:

The Hawks have been in a slump and things look a little more difficult for the near future.  Star defensemen Duncan Keith is suspended and we have to wait to find out exactly for how long.

But some good news for the Hawks, they will get Seabrook and Anisimov back for this game.  They need to win.  They have fallen in the standings, the have made the playoffs but could find themselves in the wildcard if they don’t snap out of their funk.

The Jets are out of the playoff picture so the Hawks should look at this game as a win. They have won 5 of the last 6 games against the Jets and are 8-1 in their last 9 games in Winnipeg.

The Hawks have gone 3-5-1 over their last 9 games and have allowed an average of 3.10 goals during.  With the Hawks needing points, and the Jets having nothing to lose, I see this game having goals.

Wild vs Red Wings Betting Tips:

This is an important game for both teams.

The Wild sit in 8th place with 87 points which is 5 points ahead of the 9th place Avalanche.

The Red Wings are in 9th place, 1 point behind the 8th place Bruins.  They have made the playoffs for 24 straight years and that streak is now in jeopardy.

There is one thing about the Wings though and that’s that they seem to always come through when it counts and you can never really count them out.

4-6 last night, but that gem in the Canadiens regulation win at 4.60 odds made it an even night moneywise. Apologies if anyone took my Rangers tip, for some reason i thought the game was played in MSG and my reasoning for a Rangers win worked the other way around in Hurricanes favor as they got the home crowd going and played a heck of a game. Bad mistake but what’s done is done.

Tonight i’ll go with:

Red Wings win @ 1.91

– Basically what S&G said. Home crowd is huge for them in this important game. Spurgeon is probably out for the Wild and the Wings are well rested. Don’t know if fatigue comes into play for the Wild or if they manage to battle through it, but regardless i still think Detroit takes this one. What’s interesting is that both Wild goalies have losing records vs Detroit. Not comfortable going for regulation win as the Wild are guaranteed to battle it out and they were on fire before last nights game, so just to be on the safe side ML is the way to go.

Bruins-Blues Over 5 @ 1.95

– We all know how much the Bruins need this game. And the Blues really don’t (yeah i know that 1st place and all, but again see how much Tampa wanted that game last night). Boston is dealing with some injuries making the Blues heavy favorite for this one. I know they’re on fire and the Bruins are basically the complete opposite, but they had a couple days to rest and will be ready to go to war with the Blues. I think determination has a very good chance to outcome any obstacle tonight, especially when i think the Blues will be a bit loose. Doesn’t hurt Elliott is 0-5 at home vs Boston. But at the same time i just can’t make myself go for the Bruins and instincts say the Blues are just too strong tonight. Anyway, these teams always score a bunch of goals when they play @ St. Louis, scoring at least 5 goals in each of the last 7 games.

Jets in regulation @ 3.20

– Remember that time when the Kings visited the Jets ? They had lost 2 in a row and even after dominating they scored only 1 goal after 2 periods. Then here comes the complecancy and Jets score 3 (or was it 4) in the 3rd period. Deja vu.

I know unlike the Kings, Hawks and Jets are divisional rivals and now that Ladd is with the Hawks they might just go through the Jets even if it’s not an easy game. But again i can counter, last night Carolina played one of their best games of the season when their ex-captain came to town. Deja vu.

I can already picture Pavelec making 40 saves, Dano scoring the tiebreaker in the 3rd and Big Buff firing it off the glass in the empty net from his own zone making Toews break his stick in half. 😀

I mean, win or lose the Jets will be a serious thorn on the Hawks side tonight and i would never go for Chicago. I was hoping a bit more value for the Jets win, but it’s worth a small stake.

Avalanche PL @ 4.00

– This is one where the jury is still out on but at the same time this is a next level bet :D. I mean, Avs will try to throw everything they can at the Caps tonight. We’ve seen the Caps come out with an up and down effort simply because they have nothing to play for at this point. But im still a bit concerned if that pressure-free hockey works for them in this one. They have the skill to outscore the Avs and Holtby can be magical and save pretty much everything the Avs try to throw at him. But but but.. Avs win makes SO MUCH sense when you think about expected effort levels. And if they do win i think they will do it in a convincing fashion and cover the PL.

Good luck boys !

😀 Gotta go in the other way today bro. I think the Wild-Wings game is going to be best game of the night, when both teams are playing with some desperation. The bounces will decide this game. I like the OT and I don’t play OTs.

Bs-Blues – St. Louis has been on an impressive run, allowing just one goal against in its last five games, a streak that included four consecutive shutouts. The Bruins, meanwhile, can’t seem to put the puck past any opponents of late, having scored just 10 goals over their last seven games, including an empty netter. Add to that, Blues are playing for 1st place. St. Louis heads into Friday’s game against the Bruins two points behind Dallas for first in the Central with a game in hand. So this game isn’t just important for Boston. Maybe Blues reg, but not the Over. If Krejci and Spooner are not playing, the Over looks even worse. They are game time decisions.

Yeah i don’t think im getting a lot of people on board with my picks tonight 😀 but just the way i see them

SanDiegoBruinsD

Love it man, gotta go with your heart. I’m sure you’ll end up in positive territory tonight and I’ll lose again. But it’s fun when we go in oppositve ways.

Arto Reinikainen

Nah man you’re going to win soon again ?

Canucklehead

Okay guys … get a room! ?

LOL

magus1349

Blackhawks, Red Wings and Ducks in a parlay.

magus1349

Also i think over 4.5 @ Blues vs. Bruins.

SanDiegoBruinsD

Well done S&G. Another crazy night of hockey. I ended up on the losing end, of course, but not by a lot. here’s what I have for tonight:

singly parlay with Capitals ML -125 / Wild/Redwings ov5 -130 / Canucks/Ducks ov5 -130

Big Salami Total Goals ov26½ +105

Capitals(Reg 60 Min) -½ +123 0 pretty good value here for the best team in the league. Granted they are on the road and coasting into the playoffs but Avs are missing some Duchene and McKinnon.

Blackhawks(Reg 60 Min) -½ -102 – agree with S&G

MIN/DET OT +270 – I don’t usually play the OTs but these are two teams who are both motivated and are pretty evenly matched. Low units

Blackhawks/WIN Jets ov5 -130 – Darling in net and he’s good for 2 or 3 and BH are motivated to I expect to see som offensive output from them

Blues/BOS Bruins un5 -110 – Elliott has been a wall and the Bs are snakebit and are gripping the sticks far too tightly. Blues PL not a bad call either

Blues(Reg 60 Min) -½ -101 – see above

passing on non-NHL TOTD. Tomorrow I will have a huge tip.

good luck boys

Justin

Minnesota vs Detroit has gone OT 4 times in last 10 games (5-3-2 record each). Good value bet.

My picks will be Boston and Chicago. I would not touch on Ducks just because of the factor.

Luan Duong

Grand salami -.5 -135 home

Henry Del Valle Sr.

Chicago in Reg — Look, I know the Bhawks are struggling. Keithe is suspended. Hossa out with an injury. Bhawkscould be stressing out as they can either solidify their third-place spot or fall into the wildcard. But I digress…even with Scott Darling between the pipes, the Bhawks know how to win when it matters. They are winners, plain and simple abd they’ve DOMINATED Jets this year. As road favorites at Winnepeg, the Bhawks are 9-1. Anisimov and Seabrook will be back and I see a hearty 5-2 Bhawks win.

Det/Minn OVER — Rested Detroit takes on a tired Wild team. Normally the Wild would have me going under but I think they’ll be a little sleepy and allow more goals than they have been. Also I feel Wild will put a couple past Jimmy Howard. The OVER is 9-1 between both teams at Detroit and I like this trend to continue, gimme RedWings 4, Wild 2.

Bos/Stl — was back and forth here but cannot come up with anything substantial. Boston needs this game or at least grab a point in an OT loss. Bruins odds of breaking out of their scoring slump against Elliott seem very slim. For those of you considering this game, please note that Boston is 3-7 as a dog at StLouis.

SanDiegoBruinsD

we’re on the same page X the board

SanDiegoBruinsD

I’m cheered by all the confidence with Bs. Unfortunately, I don’t share it with you, even with Krejci and Spooner likely back in the line-up. Elliott has been on an insane streak and that isn’t ending in a game that the Blues will want to win. However, I would love to see the Bs win; just don’t see it happening.

NHL

1-1 Last night with a push on BUF-TOR over
Tonight I like
DET
CHI
ANH

lion

Tonight picks,

Bruins win %90
Islanders win %90
Flyers win %90

Good luck everyone!

Eduardo Caldeira

Flyers? or Red Wings Flyers dont even play lol

lion

They do play. Evening at 20.00 here in europe. Connected ?

Eduardo Caldeira

ok didnt know that tks

Totot1976

they play tonight here in europe so it is a tip for tonight really… today for the western hemisphere…

Eduardo Caldeira

Sorry I didnt have time to talk here but I went only on one pick here and I got the wrong one lol

But also Took the Kings PL and Islanders RT

today what I think is

Red Wings ML due also with the Wild played last Night and also a game were normally the Red Wings always come up hard

But I also think the Over 5 totals is very good (live you could jump on the over 4.5 … I think its possible both of them scoring at least 2… Red Wings have been conceding a lot , its gonna be a ruff and tuff game)

I like also the Under 5 ou under 5.5 on the caps and avs… both teams have been scoring little and the caps seem to be more softer due to injuries I think… they can do much better , and the avs havent been scoring lately… I see a game tight and with few goals)

Chicago RT – also seems a good bet but I’m just going for the odds… they have been a slumpo but Ive seen the Jets and they are really horrible… hard to see another upset

lets see

maybe the under on the ducks – canucks could be good but Im gonna avoid that one

SanDiegoBruinsD

And the puck drops on the Bruins season…

Eduardo Caldeira

great game by boston for now

Totot1976

my scorer slip from tonight. Unfortunately missed 2 out of 6…. sigh. Money back and little plus on this one… minus on the Hawks though…. Good game for the Bruins :).
