Every Game 1 in the quarter final series of the Stanley Cup have began, with some interesting results.
Last night the Dallas Stars won their first game 2-1 over the Blues, while the Predators and Sharks had a thrilling game resulting in the Sharks coming out victors.
Today sees two Game 2s, as the New York Islanders visit Tampa to take on the Lightning, and the Penguins are in Washington hoping to tie things up before returning home.

Islanders vs Lightning Game 2 Betting Tips:
Graeme: It was a surprise to see how easy the Islanders dominated Bishop. He doesn’t have a good record this season against them and you have to wonder if that’ll eat away at him or if it’ll force him to come back strong. I’ll be honest even though I tipped Tampa to win the series I take one look at the odds, how up for the game the Islanders were a couple of nights ago – and just have to take Islanders to win.
Scott: The Isles scored 4 goals on 13 shots on Bishop and he got the hook in the 5-3 Isles win in game 1. He’s a great goalie and will bounce back. The Lightning can’t afford to go down 2-0 when the series moves to Brooklyn so I expect them to show up today. Lightning in Regulation.
Penguins vs Capitals Game 2 Betting Tips:
Graeme: I believe we bet Over 5 or Over 5.5 in every single game the Penguins vs Capitals played in regulation this season. It’s no surprise -even when they have both #1 goaltenders fit it’s hard to deny these incredible offenses. The Capitals offense stuttered a bit early on in the playoffs but they seem up for it with the Penguins. I’m extremely conflicted here between betting the Over 5 and the Penguins to win – as I felt that was a very even game and the Penguins could have taken it. Screw it – even though Over 5 feels like the safe bet, I’d be kicking myself if I didn’t take Penguins to win.
Scott: Wow. Game one was amazing. T.J Oshie scored a hat trick including the game winner in OT when the Caps won 4-3. Crosby and Ovechkin both had fairly quiet games so I expect them to show up tonight. This is going to be a great series.
