A great night of playoff hockey last night.

It needed 2 OTs but the Sens beat the Rangers 6-5.  The Rangers were up 4-2 At the start of the 3rd but the Sens stormed back to force OT.  The Sens lead the series 2-0.

The Penguins score 3 times in both the second and third periods and beat the Capitals 6-2.  The Penguins now head back to Pittsburgh up 2-0 in the series.

2 game 3’s for us today with the Blues vs Preds in Nashville and the Ducks vs Oilers in Edmonton

Blue vs Preds

Its been a great series so far and it’s tied 1-1.

The Preds have surprised everyone with their success so far and took their first loss in the last game.

They traded goals until the Blues scored with less than 5 minutes left.  Tarasenko scored twice for only his third goal of the postseason.

I’m not sure who wins this game so I’m going to go with a player prop.

After putting up 3 points in the first game,  Subban was held pointless in game 2.  I expect him to have a better game this time out.

Ducks vs Oilers

The Oilers lead this series 2-0 and are now back in Edmonton.

The Ducks will need a more consistent effort  from start to finish to stand a chance in this series.

I would like to say the Oilers continue their strong play at home but can’t back them as the Ducks are facing going down 3-0 with a loss in this game.

Kesler has gotten points in the first 2 games and they will need him and others to contribute if they are to make a series of this.

For tonight im going with Blues ML, just feeling a great night from Tarasenko again. I think the Preds suffer a lot from missing guys like Fiala, Aberg and Smith. Instead of having that scoring depth up front they’re icing guys like Salomaki and McLeod. Blues have been amazing on the road.

I also thought of something tonight, im going with Phil Kessel to win the Conn Smythe @ 13.00 odds.

Normally i don’t make these kind of bets, but 1st of all, who is going to stop the Pens? 2nd of all, a lot of people felt like Kessel should’ve won it last year and he’s up there again in points. If the Pens do go all the way, i feel like it’s another Toews/Kane situation where one year Kane should’ve won it but Toews got it, and then another year they give it to Kane. I can’t see them giving it to Crosby again, and while Geno’s got the most points right now he hasn’t been that great and the story value there isn’t nearly as great as it is with Phil. I mean just thinking back to last year’s World Cup where he got a lot of crap for his tweets, and this year he wins the cup again and smythe. Just feels like something that’s going to happen 😀

Not Fleury? He’s been playing out of his mind.

Not sure if he can keep it going, i don’t know why but i think the Sens could be a pain in the ass for him.

Preds to win by a 2 goal margin @ 8.00 odds. I think it’s worth a try!
