Only 4 games yesterday and I couldn’t come up with a tip.  But it was a good night of hockey.

The Penguins beat the Sens and secured 2nd in the Metro and home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The Sabres vs Lightning game was a crazy one.  The Lightning won 7-5.  The Sabres Alex Nylander and Casey Mittelstadt both scored their first NHL goals.  At least this gives Sabres fans something to be excited about for next year.

The Blues beat the Hawks 4-1 and moved into the final wildcard spot in the West pushing the Avalanche into 9th.

The league has set up a potential wildcard tiebreaker in case the Flyers lose their game to the Rangers by two goals and the Panthers win both of their remaining games.  There’s a lot of what it’s surrounding this but there is a plan if all of the dominos fall into place.

A incredible day of hockey for us with all teams playing except fot Pittsburgh who has already played 82 games.   There is only one game tomorrow, the Panthers vs Bruins, so tonight is the night.  For some teams, there is nowhere they can move in the standings so I expect some teams to be resting some players as the prepare for the playoffs.

Blues vs Avalanche  Betting Tips:

This is a crazy game and it couldn’t have been written any better.  These teams are fighting for the final playoff spot in the West and it all comes down to this game.

This is the 4th game between these two with the Blues winning two of the first 3. The Avs have lost 3 in a row which has put them into this spot.

Both teams know what’s on the line so this should be a great game.  With the way these teams have been playing I would think that the Blues would win but with so much on the line I have no idea.

Instead I’ll go with Over for this one as both teams can’t afford to go half-assed in this game.

Devils vs Capitals Betting Tips:

The Devils can still move up in the standings.  The are in the 1st wildcard spot and are tied with the Blue Jackets who are in 3rd in the Metro.   They have been playing some great hockey of late going 7-0-1 over their last 8 games including winning their last 4 in a row.

Ovechkin is leading the league in goals with 47 which is 3 more than the next closest player Laine.  He will be going all out in this game to ensure he wins the Rocket Richard trophy.

The Caps have owned the Devils over the last 10 meetings going 8-0-2 but with a better position in the standings on the line for the Devils I’m not sure I can tip the Caps.

Instead I’ll go with Over as we know Ovechkin will be flying.

Over 6 incl OT/SO for 1u

Knights vs Flames Betting Tips:

With the year the Knights have had it would only be fitting that they end their first regular season with a win.

They have handled the Flames with ease this season winning all three games against them.

The Flames came into the season with high hopes but this season turned out to be anything memorable for them.  They will be looking to avoid taking their 10th loss in their last 11 games.

Knights win incl OT/SO – 1u
