In addition to having some of the best betting odds and an amazing selection of betting options, [geocode id=5 also comes out with these interesting betting props that change through out the year.

With the Trade deadline fast approaching and with the season over half way finished, here are 4 of Bodogs awesome betting props they have currently available.

I’ve provided factual information on each NHL March Prop available at Bodog, followed by my betting advice.

You will find some really good value within these props. Bodog are also offering free NHL bets and bonuses too so if you aren’t signed up there yet, these bets can practically be risk free.

Todays NHL Tips will be up a bit later today, but here are the prop bets for March that Bodog recently added….

Will the Dallas Stars trade Jaromir Jagr before the 2013 Trade Deadline?

  1. Yes -200
  2. No +150

With Dallas currently in 10th and in a fight for the playoffs its hard to say if they will move Jagr. He has been a solid addition to this club and at 41 has shown he still has the skills that will make him a first ballot Hall of Famer, in 27 games this year he has 10 goals and 8 assists.

But with the Stars in such a fight for the 8th and final playoff spot I have a feeling that they will be sellers at the deadline and WILL move Jagr to a team who need the extra scoring touch to help them have success in the playoffs.

Will the Ottawa Senators trade Daniel Alfredsson before the 2013 Trade Deadline?

  1. Yes +200
  2. No -300

Daniel Alfredsson has made it known that he wants to play his entire career with the Ottawa Senators and with the Sens, despite their injury depleted roster, comfortably in the playoffs for the time being I can’t see them trading him.

Something that bothers me is when an aging player who will be a free agent at the end of the year and has spent so much time with one organization says that they don’t want to be traded and want to stay and help however they can. Well if they truly wanted to help the team then they would accept the trade to a team in the playoffs, allow the team to gain valuable draft picks and prospects for him, then resign with their old team once the season is over.

But don’t expect the Sens to to trade Alfie as he’s a Sen for life and once his playing days are over he will quickly be hired to help run the team in some capacity.

Will the New York Islanders make the playoffs in the 2013 season?

  1. Yes +300
  2. No -500

With the Islanders currently sitting in 11th place in the East and only 3 points out of 8th they really do have a great shot of making the playoffs for the first time since 2006. But with the teams they are battling with for the 8th and final spot the Islanders really have their work cut out for them.

The Islanders are sandwiched between the Lightning, the Sabres, The Capitals and the Rangers so I don’t think that in the end they will make the cut. The thing with the Islanders is they have some outstanding young talent but are really a few years and key pieces away from being a Eastern Conference Powerhouse. But with the move to Brooklyn coming the new owners will probably dig deep into their pockets so depending on the moves they make next year could be their year.

Will the Columbus Blue Jackets make the playoffs in the 2013 season?

  1. Yes +300
  2. No -500

Talk about the surprise team in the NHL this year. With many people, myself included, basically writing this team off before the season even began this team has gone out and have done what ever it take to win games. After trading the face of the Franchise in Rick Nash to the Rangers for a few decent but not spectacular players Jacket fans had very little to be excited about.

But as of right now they are currently tied with the Sharks for 8th place in the Western Conference and are only 4 points out of 4th place. I think that the Blue Jackets will continue their hot streak, a franchise record 12 games in a row with a point, and make the playoffs. And good for them as nobody had much hope for them. Better yet they are doing this without Rick Nash so kudos to Todd Richards for doing such a phenomenal job of coaching this year and should be strongly considered for the Jack Adams award given to the best coach each year.
