A good night for us last night when we went 2-1.

We had over 5 in the Capitals vs Rangers game and the Caps won this bet for us by themselves winning 7-3. The Rangers lead the game 3-1 heading into the 2nd period but the Caps came out swinging.  They scored 4 in the 2nd and added 2 in the 3rd.  For the Rangers to allow a team to score 6 unanswered goals and blow a lead like they did really says something.

The Bruins beat the Devils 2-1 in a shootout but we had Boston to win in regulation.  With the win the Bruins are now within  a point of 1st place in the Atlantic Division.

Our last tip of the night was the Panthers to beat the Canucks.  And this was a close one that saw the teams trade goals but it was the Panthers winning 5-4 in the shootout.

A solid day of hockey for us as we near the Christmas break with 8 games.

Blue Jackets vs Penguins Betting Tips:

I’m sure I’ll take some heat for this but Penguins Win is the pick for this game

The Penguins have been bad.  They are on a 5 game losing skid and aren’t getting production from some of their big stars.  Crosby has 1 goal over his last 11 games and Kessel hasn’t scored in 8.

They haven’t won under new coach Mike Sullivan and are in desperate need to turn things around and fix this season.  But once they do snap out of this funk they have the talent to salvage what has been a disappointing start to the year.  I think tonight is a game where they can head into the Christmas break with a win.

Stars vs Wild Betting Tips:

When these teams play each other it’s always a good game between two strong Central Division rivals.

The Stars have beat the Wild twice already this season but needed OT for both games.  They come into this 6-2-2 over their last 10.

The Wild have had similar success of late going 6-1-3.  They have a good home record this season going 12-3-1.  But the Stars have a great road record going 11-3-2.

I like the Stars in this one.  And the value of this pick makes it a no brainer.

Stars win

Canadiens vs Predators  Betting Tips:

Montreal has looked like garbage recently.  They limp into this game 2-7-1 over their last 10 and are on a 3 game losing skid.  They opened the season with 9 straight wins but haven’t had steady success since.

Pacioretty has been in a slump scoring only  once in his last 8 games.  They want to prove to the world that they are more than a one man hockey team and that they can win without Price.  They haven’t been able to show the world that yet.

I do think that the Habs struggles will continue but I like them to at least make a game of it.

Nice picks, yesterday all i missed on a 6 game Parlay was Boston xD

Today I’m thinking that Flyers is gonna overcome Blues. It might be odd, seeing that if i look at the teams, Blues have the upper hand. But i saw the game against Flames, and even tho the first period was great, the rest of the game left me with a little Meh. They are however, on a streak, which to me isn’t a very impressive one. Flyers Havent been playing great hockey either, and after the loss to CBJ i believe they are gonna be back strong tonight. I mean, they have had some great wins not that long ago. So yeah, Flyers to win amongst some goal bets.

Good luck 🙂

Not parlay, combo 3/6 and 6/6

Graeme

Yesterday I posted my first “very confident” pick for the 1st period betting system which won at 2.65 odds which was nice.

Today I have 3 “slightly confident” picks. Like I’ve said before this is an experimental system and it’s still weeks/months away from me actually including it in the tips.

Predators win 1st period: 2.55 odds
Wild win 1st period: 2.70 odds
Blue Jackets win 1st period: 2.60 odds

Eduardo Caldeira

What about Fluery ? Is he going to play ?

Mar Mar

I don’t see anywhere on bet365 on betting 1st period wins. Are you betting these right as the game starts under “in play”?

Graeme

No – there’s a 1st period option (on the hockey menu and under each game). The teams listed above at those odds are all listed at -0.5 for the 1st period.

Mar Mar

thanks

Arto Reinikainen

These are looking golden. My treble bet says thank you 😀

Graeme

Must have got some nice odds 🙂 Although I’d highly recommend not doing trebles or accumulators for this as it’s very high variance. Thankfully been on the right side thus far.

Claus Pedersen

I thank u as well as i made a 1,2,3/3 🙂 moneyline in the pocket xD so far ive online missed Leafs game since i picked under..

grant

No Crosby and someone named Murray starting in net….does this change your Pens pick?

Graeme

Both of those were factored in to the pick.

magus1349

Penguins is one of my picks. Also, Capitals play too good lately and…i expect to lose tonight. Nothing live forever in NHL.:)
How do you think about Ducks? I think they win and the price is very good.

Justin

Foligno from the CBJ is out aswell.

SanDiegoBruinsD

I think Murray will play very well, but without Sid they are a much weaker team

Arto Reinikainen

After a bad start last night turned out fantastic, 10 odds for the caps when they were down 3-1 and over 5.5/draw on Chicago game were perfect picks.

Maybe a homerun tonight ?

Jets vs Oilers over 5 goals. These 2 teams have played 14 games in a row where they’ve had at least 5 goals scored. And yes, i had to include Atlanta days as well. Last time these two franchises had a game with less than 5 goals was in 2002. Only 1.50 odds, but should be worth it.

Im looking at a sluggish game for the Caps. Last night had the feel like that should’ve been the final game to go out on a high note before the break, but they still have a game to play. Tough schedule for them and if they manage to find motivation to play against the Hurricanes, on the road, while tired, i’ll be very surprised. This is usually how upsets happen, especially when the Canes have been playing well and they have a very positive feel in the room right now. Good way to go and celebrate christmas holidays, beating the Caps in front of your home crowd. Carolina @ 3.15

Islanders have been digging themselves a hole recently. They looked very uninspiring against Arizona and making a complete 360 for this game won’t be easy. Ducks are looking to build on their win vs. Devils and they surely want payback, IIRC they had a pretty frustrating loss against the Isles earlier this year. And despite the Ducks struggles this year they’re still a better team than the Islanders, especially with Okposo out. Both Ducks goalies are playing well too. Probably a close win, but i have faith @ 3.00

Penguins are the most frustrated team in the NHL at the moment. They’ve lost 5 in a row and both games vs CBJ this season. One last chance to go out feeling good about themselves in front of your home crowd. Crosby out, which always makes Geno play his best – not necessarily a bad thing for the Pens. But let’s keep in mind CBJ always plays hard against Pittsburgh and they’re the more positive team right now winning 2 in a row. Im thinking there’s a solid chance for OT since i just can’t see either team winning it in regulation. Im also confident on over 5 goals. I think it’ll be a wild one.

Speaking of wild, Im expecting the Wild to show how good of a team they can be on home ice tonight. They’ve been playing well recently but the Preds caught them off guard like they tend to do to any team in the league when they’re in desperate need of a win at home. Wild – after 2 losses to the Stars this year – will be looking to do what the Preds did to them. Last time DAL&MIN faced eachother i think the Wild had a 4-1 lead but couldn’t hold it because they were in a slump at the time. Not going to happen tonight. Wild @ 2.37

Honorable mentions:

Rinne vs Condon/Tokarski is not a good matchup for MTL. And the bad thing for Montreal is nobody is going to take them lightly even though they’re in a slump. Im confident that the Preds can squeeze out a win.

Varlamov is the hottest goalie around right now. And because the Leafs pummeled the Avs 5-0 i think it was earlier this year i don’t think Colorado will sleep on them. They can ride their hot streak to win even though Toronto can make it tough for them.

For some reason i like Edmonton tonight, i know the Jets have dominated them but let’s also keep in mind any previous Records can be thrown out of the window in my opinion. Oilers are a different team than what they’ve been before. McLellan has a winning record against Maurice. Oilers were playing great until they were victims of the schedule, having to face Rangers at MSG right after the extremely tough Bruins game, then the Blackhawks and red hot Avs. Oilers will be extremely hungry for a win tonight and when those kids get it going Rexall Place can get really fired up. Jets have been up and down team this year too.

STL-PHI OT sounds good too.

Good luck !

SanDiegoBruinsD

Nice one last night! Good analysis of today’s games. I don’t agree with Caps/Canes, I think Caps keep rolling, especially after an easy night in NY. I also think Stars own Wild and will step up tonight. good luck!

ET

Clb/Pit: I’m with you on this one Scott. Both teams have similar issues going into this game. Both captains Crosby (-6) & Foligno (-11) are out, Korpisalo 1-2-0 is starting & the Pens Zatloff is 2-3-1 & Murray is 0-1-0. Jackets may have the psychological edge & Johansen is back but picking the Pens to win tonight is not improbable.
Dal/Min: Tough one. You get full marks for making a pick for this game. Both teams are on a btob but starting goalies shouldn’t be an issue. NIemi is 13-5-2 & Lehtonen is 11-2-0; Dubnyk is 14-8-2 & Kuemper is 3-0-2. The Wild are 7-4-4 vs the Div & Stars are 3-2-0 vs the Div.
* one interesting point: In the L5 games the Stars have alternated wins & losses .They won the last one so we’ll see. Should be a great one!
Good luck tonight!

Ducks ML – this is going to be a low scoring game, but without Okposo and coming off a road trip and 3 losses in a row, the Isles are going to be flat. With no travel Ducks will be rested and look to carry momentum from Devils game into Isles game.

CBJ/Pens under – Two rookie goalies in net but both of them seem very sharp. Murray for the Pens seems like the real deal based on his performance in the AHL and he only let in 2 in his debut. Both teams are finding it hard to score lots of goals and Pens are missing Sid.

CBJ ML – Pens are absolutely reeling and missing Sid won’t help. CBJ is coming off 2 wins in a row and Torts will have them fired up. Tight game but I like CBJ.

Caps ML – Caps are 10-2 in last 12. I’m getting -130 and it should be -170. I’m taking Caps and Stars in a single parlay that pays better than 2:1.

Habs ML – just for the value vs another team that can’t seem to find Ws. I like the under in this one too.

Stars ML – I like Stars to get back on track tonight and build on their spanking of the Habs. Wild have one quality win vs Chicago in last 12. Good value here.

Avs should destroy Leafs, but last night Leafs were +155 (now +130) so I threw a little bet at them.

Blues/Flyers – coin flip
Jets/Oilers – coin flip

lion

my yesterdays pick was canucks 0

Here are tonight picks,
Capitals win
Islanders win
Blues win
Penguins win
Stars win
Canadians win
Leafs win
Oilers win

Good luck everyone!

Mr Dj 613

Keep up the good picks!

lion

It was till blues took it down ?

Marc Lachance

I have Ducks/Isles Under 5. Anaheim can’t score goals, even less against those teams with good goalee and Halak is one of the most underated goalee in the NHL. NYI is out one good forward so that’s add up the thought behind my bet.

Marc Lachance

Odds for Anaheim ML were very good but I can’t trust the ducks at all in winning games…!

Pepa

Did you see Halak against Panthers? He was like strainer

Marc Lachance

Even Price have shitty days…I’m not comparing him to Price but he’s pretty good.
