1-2 last night.  Despite the bad night with the tips, it was a fun, goal filled night in the NHL.

We had the Stars in regulation against the Blue Jackets.  The Jackets scored early in the 1st and cruised to the 6-3 upset win.  Lehtonen allowed 3 goals in the 1st and was pulled.

After picking up the win the previous night, the Habs came back to Earth when they lost to the Panthers 3-1.  This was a bet that, had it came through for us, would have payed out great. Scrivens was solid in his season debut. With the win the Panthers are in 1st place in the Atlantic and have now won 7 straight.

Our win of the night was Over 5 in the Kings vs Oilers game and the Kings won 5-3.  Toffoli scored again after getting the hat trick the night before.

The Hawks outlasted the Coyotes 7-5, the Bruins beat the Sens on the scoreboard and the ice when they won 7-3 and the teams combined for 87 penalty minutes in the final minute of the game.   The Ducks won 1-0 against the Flames and snapped the Flames franchise record home win streak at 11 games.

5 games on for us tonight so let’s get back to a winning night with the NHL Betting Tips for Wednesday, December 30th.

Maple Leafs vs Penguins Betting Tips:

The Leafs lost last night to the Isles 6-3 but had recorded at least a point in 7 of their last 8 games.

The Penguins have beaten the Leafs in both of their games so far this year but Fleury was in goal for both of those games.

The Leafs are 0-6-2 in the 2nd part of their back to backs so far this season.

This could be a toss up as to who wins the game as both teams have had struggles this year but it’s the Leafs troubles in the 2nd part of back to backs that gives the Pens the edge in this one.

Penguins in regulation

Rangers vs Lightning Betting Tips:

These teams have both had some high scoring games of late.

The Rangers last 8 games have had goals totals of; 8, 5, 10, 7, 7, 6, 9 and 12. They’re 2-6 over that span.

The Lightnings last 6 games; 7, 7, 3, 7, 8 and 9.  They’re 3-3 over that span.

I like this trend to continue in this game.  Both teams have under achieved this season but there is still time left in the season to fix it.

Over 5

New Jersey Devils vs Ottawa Senators

Senators to win

60.6% computer calculated win % which at current price of 1.74 gives +EV of 5.44%

Sens are ranked 6 places above the Devils in my team rating system.

Sens were playing some excellent hockey earlier in the season, but since then the wheels have fell off a bit and they are struggling a bit with their defensive line. They are shaking things up a bit tonight in the hope of finding some consistency and getting a vital win. This could play out well for them.

They are coming off the back of a huge 7-3 loss against the Bruins last night and will want to turn that around.

Devils also played last night against the Canes and are traveling to Ottawa for tonight’s match.

The Sens record against the Devils over the last few years is fairly even in wins and losses, but they tend to do a lot better with home advantage, like they have today.

nice justification!

Thanks

Before they announced Holtby is in net again i was seriously considering a Sabres upset tonight, but you’ve got to ride Holtby this season. Caps in regulation.
Agree with the Pens.
Also going with the Senators & Sharks. Both teams should be very hungry for a win.
Value bet of the night is Rangers-Bolts draw.

Pits to win. Toronto havent win a single game this season when they had play the night before, let alone on the road.

Marc Lachance

and of course Bernier plays the game of his career… lol

I’m going to take the Pens too, but in ML. Also the Over 5 at Washington. I know Under seems more proper, maybe. But my stats show me the void, at least, is more than possible, so I will go for it. I went thinking about Sens too, but both them and Devils have very bad stats playing b2b, so I let it pass seeing it a flip coin. GL everybody!!
