A good night for us with the tips as we went 1-0.
We went with Over 6 in the Wild vs Islanders game and the Wild won 5-3.
The Capitals beat the Sabres 3-2. Ovechkin scored his 35th goal of the season. This is the 10th time in his career that he has hit this number.
The Hawks got back to their losing ways when the Kings won 3-1. The Hawks are now 1-8-1 over their last 10 games and are comfortably in last place in the Central, 8 points behind the 6th place team. Phaneuf scored his 2nd goal since joining the Kings.
The Red Wings traded Petr Mrazek to the Flyers for a couple draft picks. This is going to help the Flyers as both their goalies, Elliott and Neuvirth, are down with injuries. With only 6 days left until the trade deadline I hope we see some more big names like this getting moved.

The Panthers have been playing some good hockey going 7-3 over their last 10 games. They are going to need to continue that play to climb back into the playoffs picture.
The Leafs are 8-2 over their last 10 games. They are sitting in 3rd in the Atlantic Division.
Both teams are coming into this game scoring goals. The Panthers last 4 games have hit 9, 9, 7 and 12. The Leafs last 4 hit 5, 8, 9 and 7.
I like this one to continue being high scoring .

Predators vs Red Wings Betting Tips:
The Predators have been playing some great hockey of late. They are such a strong team who made the finals last year and I expect them to have another good playoffs this time around. They are sitting in 1st place in the Central, tied with the Jets but have a game in hand.
The Wings have began moving some of their players with the trade of Mrazek. They have a long way to go to make the playoffs and I don’t see it happening and neither do they.

Lightning vs Capitals Betting Tips:
The Lightning are leaking goals this month allowing 3.4 per game. The are no longer in first place in the League but are still in first in the East.
The Caps are in 1st place in the Metro division.
But they are 5-3-2 over their last 10 games so i expect them to close out the year strong to better their spot in the standings for the playoffs.
The last time these two played each other it stayed under but the two before that went over. I like this one to do that too

Yeah Lyon has only played in 4gms and has a (3.27GA) but he played 40min vs NYR on Sun, made 26 sav and 1GA. He might give up a couple but the Flyers can score (21GF last 5) vs Habs (10GF last 5) and If the they protect Lyon, with Price (daily face off)in net(2.98GA) the Flyers have the edge. Habs have traveled a lot playing their last 3 on the west coast too. Flyers beat Habs 5-3 in Feb. Sorry G:)

i can’t be confident on any team, as i played this sport for years i really know that for example caps can beat lightning with ease
Did you just say that the Capitals can beat the Bolts with ease? The same Capitals that got beat by the Blackhawks 7-1 and lost to the Red Wings, Canes, Yotes and Rangers? It’s certainly _possible_ that the Bolts who have 5 more wins and 6 more points than the Caps won’t show up, but it’s not probable.
Did you watch the Capitals game? They looked awful compared to the level they are capable of playing at.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Tampa won this by a goal or 2.

The stats back Leafs/ Panthers Over. Last 5gms: Leafs22GF/16GA & Fla 20GF/23GA; In his 1st gm back, Luongo had 3GA vs Flames, took 33SOG and got the win. Panthers have been on a west coast road trip since the 12th and playing in their 3rd in 4 nights. If they protect Luongo they have a chance but I like my Leafs in Reg.

Also thinking of Leafs to score 1st. Don’t have the stats to support this but I’ve heard sports analysts comment regularly the Leafs & Jets are tied for 1st in scoring the 1st goal.

Don’t discount CBJ, they are a very fast and skilled team and goalie Bob can steal a game. I like the over in this one.

I concur. However, after losing to the Red Wings two nights ago the Preds are going to be looking for some pay back and two important points. They may be short on talent but I love the Red Wings youth and heart, but when the Preds want to play hard they’re a much better team. I’d be very surprised if they don’t show up tonight.

I’m watching champions league right now so I’ll get back to this forum after that. However, got to say I disagree with the assertion that Preds have been playing great hockey. 3-4 last 7 with two wins in OT ? And one of those being against the horrendous Habs? Yeah no. They’ve been playing distinctly average at best. Preds are a trap bet so often because people (myself included ) give them more credit than they’re often due.
The Red Wings beat them a few nights ago. Do you really expect that the Preds won’t show up for this one?

LA has had some wins recently, but against teams that don’t generally impress me.

support OVER 5.5, but their defense is showing many low scores, so this
is a less certain outcome.
Agree with Tampa OVER. In the last 10 games each for Tampa and Washington (against anyone), 16 of 20 were OVER 5.5, 14 of 20 were OVER 6.5 and 3 of 20 totaled 5, so the goal gravity is very high there these days.
Much less sure about Toronto/Florida going OVER. Only 9 of 20 of their most recent games each have been over 6.5. Their only game with each other this season went way Under, and if the line was 5.5, I’d be on it for sure. Toronto at home and Florida away are where they go OVER more, but 5.5 is more a league average for games and 6.5 worries me here.
Funny that Boston has lost its last five games against Edmonton, and Edmonton hasn’t been a strong team is ages. Boston just beat Calgary but as we’ve seen on the western Canadian swings, results of the three cities are not too predictable sometimes. Altitude change and travel. Boston has not had a day off after playing Calgary, but when the best plays the worst, that’s when the worst teams win, when the motivation levels are opposite to talent levels. Staying off it.
You’re forgetting the Lucic factor 🙂 Trust me, Bruins will be very motivated to beat the Oilers.
Like Jets, enjoy their matches, but didn’t like the missing players count tonight. Anyway, 0.5 units at -1.5 puck line.
Rather lean Preds, to win at regulation, but i won’t bet on them. Smth. is wrong with them current season, they are not bad, they are motivated, but they loose too much.
Have combined some NHL and soccer today. Barcelona, Flyers and -1 on Leafs. Need some luck to get this one in, but lets hope for the best!

You will have to filter through a few fields, but nhl. com will give you individual team stats. I put in Boston, filter results by “shots on goal” results 32.2, against 29.2. You can also put in their opponent.

Flyers ML – Wanted to take habs due to injuries and rookie goalie for flyers, but flyers are just two wins off a playoff spot. They’re at home and have dominated the Habs. Got to ride the hot hand, instead of trying to predict if the Habs get it together.

Got to take Bolts ML- They’ve not lost 4 in a row on the road yet this season. Caps were not convincing versus Sabres. Good bounce back for bolts

Adding – Jets Reg – Kuemper probably in net, and Jets have owned this series. Kings have had a nice few wins lately but not against teams in the same form as the Jets.
Bruins Reg/ML- I doubt the Bruins will need OT again tonight. After scoring only 2 goals in their last 2 games (despite playing well in against the flames) I wouldn’t be surprised to see a motivated offense tonight. Oilers got a win off the Avs but just barely thanks to McDavid. Bruins will want revenge for the loss the Oilers gave them earlier this season. Bruins are a world away better than the Oilers so think reg is fairly safe.
I’ll admit, I may well be wrong on my flyers pick after seeing the Habs goal. I was very torn about that, loved Habs as a dog trying to get a win for a change. That being said I couldn’t put my money on a team who has just found ways to lose and with less reasons to win.

I had earlier chosen Habs, the odds were superb and Habs don’t want to lose yet another game. I took Flyers because of their historical success and because they need just 2 more wins to be in a playoff spot. I just saw the Coyotes Habs score again (5-2) and thought “there is no way I can back this team right now”. In all honesty I think this was a game to take a total or avoid rather than pick a side, but we shall see…
