Only the one tip yesterday and it was a win.

We went with the Canadiens to win against the Devils.   This was so close. The Devils scored early in the 3rd to make it 2-0 and the Habs came back eventually taking it to OT where they won 4-3.

The Lightning scored 4 times in the 2nd and they beat the Sens 5-1.  The Wild beat the Kings 5-4 in OT and they got a goal from one of their new acquisitions Ryan White.

The Caps have traded for Kevin Shattenkirk.  So an already deep and stacked team has gotten much better.

A full night of action tonight with 12 games.

Coyotes vs Bruins Betting Tips:

The Bruins have owned the Coyotes lately going 9-1 against them over the last 10 games.

Over those 10 games there has been an average of over 5 goals a game.

But the Coyotes have been involved in some high scoring games recently with game goal totals of: 5, 7 and 8.

The Bruins are still fighting to stay in the playoffs.  They also had some high scoring games of late: 9, 5 and 8.

The Bruins are the heavy favorites for this game but I like it to be high scoring so I’m going with the Over for this one.

Over 5.5 for 2.00 Odds

Red Wings vs Canucks Betting Tips:

The Wings come into this game 4-5-1 in the last 10 games.  The Canucks are 3-7 and on a 2 game skid over their last 10.

The Wings have success against the Canucks going 7-1-2 against them in the last 10 meetings.

And now the Canucks are dealing with the mumps.  They will be missing some players due to the virus.  Another thing working against them in this game is the trade of Alex Burrows who has spent his NHL career with Vancouver.

With the Wings success against them and their illnesses, I like the Wings in this game.

Red Wings win incl OT/SO for 1.90 odds

Henry Del Valle Sr.

Sooooooo many games tonight. It’s going to be hard to slice down the list of plays. Endless possibilities today.

NHL Daily Tips

What a night we have ahead. I dont even know where to start!

Henry Del Valle Sr.

It’s like when you show up at a buffet and haven’t eaten in two days.

SanDiegoBruinsD

so what did you decide on?

Smoking Barrel

What about Oiler-Blues over5, Wilds-Jets over5,5 and Sharks-Maple Leafs also going over5,5?

Jeff Douglas

S&G what are your thoughts on parlays? Any tips or rule of thumb? Considerig a Bruins Flyers ML parlay.

Graeme (BetNHL.ca)

It’s hard enough getting one bet right never mind two in the NHL as well as most other sports. Parlays are -EV and we’d avoid them for everything but the most casual bets.

Deadlock

SanDiegoBruinsD

I’m with you on everything, but the Jets play. I just haven’t studied that game so no feel for it. GL

NHL Daily Tips

Yeah. The Wild are with no doubt the better team. But they are missing some players to the mumps, and the Jets have impressed me with their offensive play lately. And thats why im sticking with Jets! GL

SanDiegoBruinsD

As of Feb 21, NHL teams have gone 4-12-4 in their first game back from the bye. The 16 teams that lost have been collectively outscored by 37 goals, and even when you throw in the four teams that won, the goal differential remains minus-30. Ten of the losing teams either scored just once or not at all. This is why I favor the Wild, in spite of their injuries.

NHL Daily Tips

Good points.

SanDiegoBruinsD

Just looked at the Wild-Jets game. Got to disagree with you. Wild are playing great hockey and Jets are coming off bye. I’m all over the Wild

Fruitloops

Any reason why everyone’s picking jets over wild?

SanDiegoBruinsD

There are so many variables in play: playoffs, trades, mumps, b2b…

Great value with the Preds playing a team that has “for sale” sign up and shaky goalie situation–either Lehner or AHL goalie–either way leaky. Take your choice: Preds ML, reg, PL TT 2.5+ or all of the above

Red Wings ML, reg, PL TT 2.5+ or all of the above – Playing for pride versus Nucks who should be called Vancouver Comets with all the players from Utica being called up due to mumps outbreak and fire sales. No fire in Nucks and lots of inexperience.

Bruins PL & first period – no value anywhere else but they are playing as well as they have all season and at home versus a team that has lost one of their key guys.

CBJ ML & TT 2.5+ – they are short-handed with Karlsson out but still very potent and Habs have been giving up a lot of goals. Habs are on b2b with Price in net but he’s not been a superstar lately.

I like the Caps to beat NYR but it won’t be a blow out. With Shattenkirk making his Caps debut the guys on that team are going to be pumped for the SC push. Plus NYR are short-handed on D with Klein and Girardi out.

Pens should take the Stars but are without Sheary and three regular defenseman — Letang, Olli Maatta and Trevor Daley so they could be leaky which is good for the over. Niemi is 6-2-1vs Pens.

GLTA

Matthew

Like all of your picks so far, but what do you think about Jets and Wild game going over 5.5 or Wild TT over 2.5 or maybe even Wild in reg?

Sharks in reg seems to me like a good pick also…

SanDiegoBruinsD

I like the Wild to win and this is great value at even odds for ML. Not sure about the over because Parise and Pominville are out, but they have been firing on all cylinders and Jets are coming off a bye week. I also like Wild for first period.

Matthew

OK, we will see then

Jeremy Patoine

* NYR are short-handed on D with Klein and Girardi out. *where did you find that i cant find it anywhere. maybe im blind lol 😛

LostRebel

I think there wil be à lot of over 5,5 today! Cbj-habs, sjs-tml, preds-sabres, Arizona-Boston, wilds-jets, pens-stars and Avs-flyers!

what2bet.net

Once again my angle play over 1st pd if o/u is listed at 6 or more

Pittsburgh Penguins/Dallas Stars (O 1.5) for 1st Period. -132

cbj/mtl My numbers say this game should be listed at 5.5O/U so I bet over 5

Columbus Blue Jackets/Montreal Canadiens (O 5) for Game. -124
