It took him 801 games and Alex Ovechkin is now part of the 500 goal club.  He is the 5th fastest in NHL history to reach the mark. He added another for number 501 when the Caps beat the Sens 7-1. He is 30 years old and it will be interesting to see just how many he can get for his career. Like him or not, theres no debate that he is one of the best goal scorers to ever play.

The Blackhawks beat the Avalanche 6-3 for their 7th win in a row.  The Panthers beat the Oilers 2-1 to stretch their franchise record win streak to 12 games.

Only 4 games on tonight so let’s get to the Tips.

Bruins vs Rangers Betting Tips:

Both teams have 4-5-1 records over their last 10 games.  They are ranked 3rd and 4th overall in goals per game.

This is the 2nd meeting between these teams with the first being won 4-3 by the Bruins.

Both teams are in a slump so they need to get back into the win column so this game has the potential to be high scoring.

Panthers vs Canucks Betting Tips:

 The Panthers incredible run continued yesterday with a victory over Edmonton.  We haven’t tipped the Panthers much during this run – because for whatever reason, we can not bring ourselves to do so.  Every time we look at it, we’re convinced this is the night they lose and all we can see is arguments for the other team winning which usually leads to us not tipping the game at all.

However the Panthers have continually shown up, and continually found ways to win.  Yet the odds are still always very respectable for them to win.  I mean tonight they’re on a B2B going up against the Canucks – a team who have looked solid at home lately and also took the Panthers to a 4-4 tie in regulation just a couple of weeks ago – in Florida.

But the Panthers seem to be for real, and until they are stopped we’re going to jump on the Panthers betting bandwagon – admittedly way too late.  If tonight is the night they lose then so be it.

Panthers to win.

Calgary ML — The Flames just seem to have the Sharks number. I think that 7-0 drubbing the Sharks gave the Leafs was an anomaly and I don’t think they can get even three goals tonight. SJ hasn’t won two straight in some time. Jones was chased in his last matchup against the Flames, while I don’t expect that to happen again, I see Calgary righting its inconsistent play at home and coming away with a 3-2 win.
Florida ML– Boy GM Dale Tallon has done an impressive job assembling this team together. As Graeme and Scott have said time and again, why do we not back the Panthers more often? Who knows? But I see them here again, with a rested Roberto Luongo in the net, to take care of business against a woeful Vancouver team. It’s funny how Florida has had decent success against the Canucks in their own barn, winning the past two contests there. While I don’t see this as a high-scoring affair from the last time these two teams met, I think the Panthers continue their win streak here and leave with a 3-1 win.
Slight lean Bruins/Rangers OVER. Leaky goalies, leaky defenses. how bad can it get for NY? Bad penalty kill of late and bad power play. Rask and King Henry are such wolrd-class goalies, I hope they get it together real soon.
GL tonight!

Hmm! How far to win Panthers?
I bet to all home team.
Otherwise our fight, yes is a fight, with betting agencies is uneven. We have a knife, they fight with a machine gun.
Last night only one game have no bet on player who score where i place bet, Caps vs. Sens. So i choose Eberle instead of Ovechkin.
Results? See the picture!

I’m with you. It’ll be a night of the home teams. Thinking about betting a combo with Rangers (REG), Canucks (REG), Calgary (ML) and Kings (ML). Red Wings are strong these days, but they already have three road wins in a row and the Kings are the best of their last four opponents. For the Panthers it’s time to lose. I think it’ll happen tonight. Canucks are good at home and the Panthers should be tired after a hard-earned win against the Oilers.

Like the picks guys although -140 for the over in the Bs-NYR just isn’t enough value for me to pull the trigger. I actually like the Bruins tonight, aside from Krejci they are healthy and fighting for a wild card spot. I think their compete level is really high tonight. I’ll take Cats to win too.

I am adding the following value bets because Howard has been dreadful and the Red Wings have to be gassed from this road trip:
Kings -.5 period 1
Kings +1.5

good luck

Yesterday I picked only devils with 3.75odds and it came. I ll go with max 2 and put them separately.

Rangers win
Sharks win

Good luck everyone!

2/2 niceee.

The Panthers are definitely finding ways to win; They’ve only had 14 &16 SOG in their last 2gms; A win is probable if they can score 1st; Of their 26 wins, 23 were won scoring 1st;
The team will be motivated to win this one for Luongo even if it is a btob;
It could be close based on the last 5gms;
Canucks last 4/5 were decided by 1 goal;
Panthers last 2/5 were decided by 1 goal.
If the odds are good, picking -2.5 total team goals for the Canucks looks appealing based on the stats: last 5gms 9GF & Fla is 5GA & Luongo is 2.06GA
Fla could score +2.5 when Van is 14GA last 5gms & steady D man Hamhuis +7 is still out;
Go Panthers Go!

Damn haha i’ve been exactly like you guys as far as the Panthers go. I don’t think i’ve bet on them a single time on their winning run. Every time i find arguments for myself not go for them, especially in the last 2 games, but they still found ways to win even if they got outplayed both times.

I guess this is a lesson for me, if there’s a special winning streak going on you just got to ride it as long as it lasts. Probably not the first time this happened, but there’s so much time between these kind of winning streaks that you tend to forget.

Im just afraid that if i bet on them that’s the game they get overconfident and lose. Canucks killed the Habs 9-game winning streak earlier this year, they’re the clear underdogs on this one and in need of a win in front of their home crowd. Panthers already beat the Canucks earlier this year and they’re not divisional-rivals or anything.. Vancouver should definitely outwork/have more focus tonight, am i really going to go for Florida after narrow wins vs Ottawa and Edmonton ? See this is exactly what happens every time 😀

Anyway, i like Bos-Nyr OT tonight. It’s going to be a fierce battle and while the Rangers are the favorites (B’s – Krejci, McQuiad) at home, i think Boston will enjoy being the underdogs and keep the game close. Besides, Rangers have lost quite a few leads/ties this year and they did it again vs Caps. As that was their last game i think there’s a good chance that carries over and if the B’s are down by 1 in the 3rd they can tie it up. Always tight games in MSG between these two teams too.

Also going with the Flames. SJS is quite unlucky with their schedule i feel like. Every time they get a big win they face a team that’s very hungry for a win. Flames lost 2 home games in a row, won one and then lost again to the Coyotes. They must feel like they got to get this one for the home crowd against divisional opponent, losing 2 in a row again at home and the 2 points to the Sharks is not something they want, this is a 4 point game for them. These teams are quite even for this game so what matters the most is how much you want to win, and i think the Flames want it more.

I’d like to say Kings win but the Wings haven’t played up to their potential at all this year, until now. They’re on a 4 game winning streak and while they haven’t exactly rolled over their opponents as i think each win have been a 1 goal win – that’s how big winning streaks usually start. Seeing as the Kings odds are below 2 there’s no way i’d ever go for them. If the Wings manage to win this one im fairly confident that they’re the team to ride after that.

So i guess my picks tonight are Florida, Calgary and Bos-Nyr OT.
Good luck !

What a night.. in a non-positive way. Rangers score with 1:42 left in the 3rd to win it, Flames outshoot the Sharks 2:1 but lose and Canucks tie it up late in the 3rd.
Oh well.

Pepa

for me it was good. 🙂 I had Rangers to win, Flames/Sharks over 5,5 and Canucks to win. Nice 7,1 odds went for me 🙂
