We had a 2-1 night last night with the NHL Tips.

Our loss was the one I felt most confident about – the Calgary Flames. They just ticked all the right boxes in that game. Honestly I haven’t felt that good about a game in awhile – and of course they lose in very disappointing fashion. Kinkaid was solid but really it was just a deserved win for the Devils in a close game.

We won with the Capitals/Blackhawks over. I joked to Scott yesterday that the Capitals are so good at the moment they’ll probably go over 5 goals on their own. Boy did they ever. Will be interesting to see if the Blackhawks can turn things around after that or if they’ll have a performance like the Penguins did against the Senators.

We also won with the Leafs/Rangers game going Over 5.5 goals in what was a great game. So cool seeing the Leafs playing hockey like this and the break clearly helped them. Long breaks seem to favour the younger, hungrier teams.

Saturday, January 14th and a busy night. The bloody odds for some of the games took forever to come out so not doing the “best odds” today due to time constraints.

Canadiens vs Rangers Betting Tips:

I had so many people texting me during the Habs/Wild game appalled that Price wasn’t being pulled. I told them all that the decision to be pulled was in Careys hands – and true enough, as Price said other players don’t get pulled so why should he? I love that sort of drive in a player.

I’m a bit concerned because you know if Price plays tonight he’s going to be out for blood. However Price has been struggling for a good few weeks, and until he proves himself again you’ve got to bet against him when it comes to goals. The Rangers are the Rangers, and I like this one to go Over 5.5 Goals.

Leafs vs Senators Betting Tips:

Battle of Ontario is always a good game. Leafs are playing extremely well at the moment but the Senators always ride them hard. We like this to be a very competitive game with both teams fighting for the win – especially considering their places in the standings. We’re on Over 5.5.

Flames vs Oilers Betting Tips:

I’ve been disappointed by both these teams lately as I know they’re capable of so much better. However the Battle of Alberta is always a fiery match-up and it might be what it takes to kick-start one of these teams. Oilers seem to struggle at home while the Flames I feel perform better on the road, so I’m backing it to be competitive based on that and taking Over 5.5 Goals.

Jets vs Kings Betting Tips:

Jets don’t seem to be missing Laine much at all on the offensive side of things. Hellebuyck is a disaster at the moment though and their whole defense looks a mess. Kings offense runs hot and cold. They’ve been hot the last 3 games so I’m hoping they don’t run out of steam here.

Over 5 Goals incl OT/SO.

Do you think Bruins can beat a -1.5 spread vs PHI/Neuvirth?

Norbert Buzási

I think so.

BlueLineBets

In 4 day games this season Boston is allowing .75 G/g. Neuvirth has a 3.6 GAA on the road this season. It comes down to wether or not you trust Boston’s offense to score enough.

Peter Jordan

Thanks for the feedback, was a sweet +200 win.

Smoking Barrel

What about Flyers-Bruins going over5?

I think the oilers and the flames will be a under game… they have been both struggling but my concern is just brion elliot starting.. thats the only game that I would bet the opposite so we are heads up on that one

Going to keep on doing my single picks, now when i’ve got some more time on my hands i have time for both my football picks and NHL/NBA, anyways the thing im doing is putting 50kr on each bet from now on = ~5$
