It was a perfect night last night as we went 3-0 with the NHL Tips.

The one we were happiest about was the Capitals/Wild Over. Initially we were looking at the Capitals winning that game as Scott said yesterday. However after we explored it further our confidence in it dropped and we went with the over instead.

That seemed to be the right call as while the Capitals did win it was in the crap shoot of overtime where they did so.

We also correctly predicted wins of the Hurricanes in regulation and the Leafs to win.

It’s been a good couple of months for us after such a tough start to the season. Have to admit that after the disastrous December, we didn’t think we could turn things around.

So we’re going to have 5 winning seasons in a row which is pretty awesome, and we’re heating up just in time for the playoffs.

I can’t wait for the playoffs from a betting perspective to be honest. The daily tips start to wear on you after awhile – especially at a time like this where there can be quite a few freak results. As we’ve seen over the past week sometimes stats and motivation don’t matter at all.

The West looks to be wrapped up however the East is still fairly wide open so it’s going to be quite interesting.

It’s a nice night of just 4 games. The Blackhawks and the Penguins go into their game tonight on losing streaks. The Capitals look to make it 6 in a row with a win over the Avs. And an absolutely massive game with the Kings vs Flames. The Flames will be in the playoffs with a win while the Kings probably have no chance but need to win this one.

Kings vs Flames Betting Tips:

While the Flames money line is at acceptable odds, I’m going to go with a riskier play which is the Flames to win in regulation.

If you’re paying attention to hockey you know the drill – the Kings need to win or they’re out of the playoffs. Simple as that. Yet unlike some teams such as the Flames themselves or the Hurricanes who have been playing like a team that deserve to be in the playoffs – the Kings are doing anything but.

The Kings have had some really poor performances lately especially in key games. They’ve lost to the Flames and to the Oilers twice. These are games where – no question – they should be winning. Then they’ve lost games to the Canucks and Coyotes where again if they’re a playoff team they should winning.

Let’s hope the Flames put the final nail in the coffin on this disaster of a team tonight. I believe the Flames should and will win this game in a strong fashion. Based on that belief it’s silly to leave it up to luck in overtime.

Flames to win in regulation.

Capitals vs Avalanche Betting Tips:

I expect an absolute crapload of money to go on the Capitals tonight and no surprise – they’ve heavy favourites.

However I’m still concerned about their road form. And they’ve got quite the run of road games at the moment too so it’s going to be a long end of season for them.

The Avalanche playing without pressure have seen their offense turn in some good performances even when they lose.

We’re going to go with Over 5.5 Goals in this one and hope the Avs turn up to play.

1-0 Yesterday. Good job making it to the playoffs Edmonton and getting the Win on my bet as well 🙂

Calgary ML
-135
St. Louis/Arizona (over/5.0)
-125

That’s all for today.

What do you think about Blues PL? Value your opinion so would like to hear what you think!

BensonD

I would consider it actually. I like pushing it to the PL for extra value but no more unless I really feel it. The Blues beat Arizona 4-1 recently, twice . I don’t see it going any different tonight. Plus it seems like empty net goals are more likely as we get close to the playoffs as a backup if it is a one goal game.

Thanks for valuing my opinion. Hope this helps. Good luck

Oliver Trigg

Cheers man! Just going for the -1, beaten the Coyotes consistently by more than 2 so hope nothing changes. Good luck to you!

Roy Walschots

Today I Am going for the Capitals -1.5 PL. They will going to the play-offs with a good feeling, the AVS are horrible. The second tip St. Louis -1.5 PL. Overall much beter than the Coyotes. Last 5 meetings say enough for me!

GL All!

Congrats on going 3-0 on the tips.
Hard not to go with the Flames in reg. Team is super motivated and playing great as a team and very successful at home:)
Good decision not to pick a team in Wash/Av game. On paper the Caps excel but on a btob and securely in the playoffs…a little tired and not a lot to play for.
Like the Blues in reg too. Both Cal
and Blues are jostling for the #1
WC spot (to avoid the Hawks)
so both will be motivated and play
hard till the end. Good luck!

Adrian Zalewski

What about Pits 2day?

Graeme (BetNHL.ca)

I actually liked the Hawks today. Obviously Pens struggling with injuries and I don’t see them pushing too much. They seem happy with their current status while Hawks looked hungry and motivated early in the Tampa game – and after that one and the Panther result I think they’ll be a lot more up for it. Add in the underdog price and I dig it. Scott doesn’t like it though due to their bad goaltending/defense atm – as they can’t even keep the puck out of their net when they win/dominate.

Adrian Zalewski

what about hawks/under 6,5?
or hawks/ over 4,5?

Bulletproof

Hawks will score 3… I also believe they show up in this one. My opinion is -130 score 3 is a safe bet.

Marcus9180

If the odds are good enough for you I would go with the over 4.5

Oliver Trigg

Wouldn’t back a team that’s on bad losing streak, suffered badly to Flyers and still no Malkin! Crosby can only carry them so far.

Petri Kontiola

A little bit frustrating to lose my combo at one single game, game who was going in OT after my pick had 3-1. But this is part of the game.
Tonight: Hawks, Flames, Caps and Blues.

Orhan Cypriot Ugurcag

I was thinking that sometimes to improve your chances and win % you should try and figure out which games are most likely to go to OT out of your picks and maybe pick some non regulation games, i’ve noticed you’ve lost a few parlays simply because they went to OT and won instead of won in reg, only pick that worries me here is the blues game, blues should stomp them, but coyotes at home can surprise.

Petri Kontiola

Maybe, but despite of this from the beginning of the year my balance is pretty positive with that system.
By the way, can someone tell me what is the percent of games who go in OT in regular season?

Orhan Cypriot Ugurcag

I’m not too sure on an overall season % but I mean you can work it out quite easily for each team, like for example 2016 season, blackhawks almost had half of their games settled in OT

Petri Kontiola

Hope not tonight.:)

Marcus9180

This season it has been just above 23%

Petri Kontiola

So pretty low. Anyway, after regular time game become some kind of lottery, chance to win became 50-50 and for betting ML the odd decreases drastically.

Marcus9180

When I think a game might go to overtime I play a draw no bet.

Oliver Trigg

I had a tenner on a bs accumulator – called every single game right but the Rangers. Know that frustration far too well.

Johnny Hockey

Pens/Hawks OVER 5.5

Caesium

Great 3-0 last night G&S! Congrats for the awesome job!

I did pretty well too. Thankfully I always place my bets before post them here, otherwise I could be confused for such a various opinions, which is not bad at all 🙂

Tonight I am with you G&S, Flames in reg @ 2.29 (early in the Europe morning). Now is @ 2.23. Up to 2.20 I think it’s a good value.

GLTA

Western RattlersD

WINS: Calgary, Washington, St. Louis
Too much conflicting data for picks on Over/Under.

Oliver Trigg

Once again I’m completely with you on your picks. I’m going for Blues on the puckline though. Won last 10 straight and 8 of 10 by 2 goals or more..

Western RattlersD

I can see all four games coming in with at least 4 goals, but both Washington and Calgary may shut down their opponents quite easily, St. Louis would be inclined to go over if Arizona puts in an effort and Pitts going Over is looking good. The Pitts injury list looks like it’s about to rapidly shrink, with Sheary, Cullen and Ruhwedel likely playing today and Malkin and Sestito on the cusp of playing.

Henry Del Valle Sr.

Parlay Wash, STL, Flames in reg (+515)
Wash/Col OVER
Wash PL
Cal ML/Reg
Cal/LA UNDER
STL PL
Best of Luck!

Ankkabyyri

Pitts – Chi o5.5
Avs – Wash o5.5
AZ – Blues o5.5
Calgary in reg
Total odds 17.15 im going for this.

Vadim Baruzdin

fun bet on hawks pens OT tonight?

Also weird feeling about Caps/ Avs going OVER tonight. Hope the Avs show up a little. Watched em in Calgary two nights ago and Sven Andrighetto is decent.

Flames beat LA and clinch tonight 🙂

Caesium

Flames in reg @ 2.29 (Early in the morning, GMT)

Up to 2.15 – 2.20 I think it’s good.

Nice 3-0 yesterday, G&S!

Here’s what I got for tonight

Going with this angle again game total posted 6 or higher play 1st period over….Caution It’s lost 3x in a row though

Chicago Blackhawks/Pittsburgh Penguins – total Over 1½ (-130) for the 1st period (Game opened and still listed at 6 as I type)

Washington Capitals/Colorado Avalanche – total Over 5½ (+100) Colorado low scoring team, but I hope they can pot a couple on a team that played last night and traveled. I still expect the Caps to be able to pot some goals 6-5 anyone?????

St Louis Blues – spread -1½ (+140) St.Louis has won the last 5 vs Coyotes by 2 whether at home or on the road I’ll give it a whirl at +140 to win 1

Pat

Hi guys, Personnal thoughts:

***Can’t pass on these for value***

-CGY-LAK O5 at 2.20 odds (five is push)
-CBH moneyline at 2.10
-STL @ ARI O5.5 at 2.30
-WSH to win 1st period at 2.15
