Mothers Day yesterday got the best of us, and unfortunately we were unable to connect to figure out tips for yesterday. On Saturday we went 1-2 in the Pens game although it was tight until the end. The Islanders early goal, which won us the “goal before 9:30 bet”, ended up throwing the game up in disarray and the Islanders gained a lot of confidence. The Pens won, but not in regulation as we tipped unfortunately – and of course the game-winning goal busted the under.

As for tonight – YIKES. Two game 7s. The Leafs got a huge, huge win over the Bruins yesterday to take it to Game 7 on Boston. The Rangers managed to play a clean 60 minutes(mmhmm) to pick up the win against the Capitals. And now both games are in game 7 – this is going to be sick!

Let’s get on with the NHL Betting Tips for May 13th, 2013:

Rangers vs Capital Betting Tips: Capitals To Win

These two teams went to Game 7 last year. Rangers had home advantage then, and the Capitals lost 2-1 in the vital game 7. This time around, it’s Washington who have home advantage in a huge huge game coming just 24 hours after the last one.

It’s a very tricky game to call. Washington are going into this game extremely frustrated due to the lack of penalties throughout the series, especially in last nights game. That can either help or hinder a team. You also don’t know how the refs will react to that. There was a lot of controversy coming out last nights game, and that can affect the way the refs make their calls.

At the end of the day however, we’re going to stick with one Mr. Ovechkin. Throughout the season we made a lot of money on two teams: The Senators and the Capitals. The former due to their strength in depth and the bookies not realizing how strong the Sens line-up were, and the Capitals because – well, because of Ovechkin.

He hasn’t had the best series, but just like during the regular season when the chips were down, we’re banking on him to show up here. These games have been notoriously tight all throughout the series, but we like Ovechkin to be teh difference maker, and the Capitals to squeak through.

Leafs vs Bruins Betting Tips: Leafs to Win

Oh boy.

This is such a tough call to make, but at the end of the day it all comes down to the bettings odds.

We’re getting 2.55 odds on the Leafs to win at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv. Those are great odds considering just how close the series has been. Toronto were solid on the road all season, and they’re coming into this game having already won in Boston twice during this series.

Take all emotion out of it. It’s basic math here. The Leafs are 2-1 in Boston, and are quite big underdogs at 2.55 odds. Going into it with two of the hottest players of the playoffs in Reimer and Kessel – yeah, we gotta go with the Leafs here.

Leafs vs Bruins Betting Tips: Goal before 9:30 = No

We expect both teams to come out wary and playing it safe. We’ve seen slower first periods before with these teams – only 2 of the 6 games hav had a goal before 9:30, and 3 of the 6 haven’t seen a goal in the whole first period.

We’re banking on a goalless opening 9 minutes and 30 seconds. When you’re getting odds of 1.95 over at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv it’s an easy bet to make.
