It’s a day of hockey that we really haven’t looked forward to in awhile – but now we just can’t bloody wait. The NHL All Star Game!

This year it’s taking on a division based 3 vs 3 format and that’s what has us absolutely PUMPED. This should be an absolute blast and a lot of fun – especially if the 3 on 3 overtime periods are anything to go by. This is going to be just absolutely insane with a lot of goals and should be fun.

Each game is 20 minutes long, with end changes after 10 minutes. The semi-finals are Central vs Pacific and Atlantic vs Metropolitan. Then the winners will play for the Championship – INSIDE A STEEL CAGE.

Well maybe not this year…but with the evolution, anything is possible. I know I’d love to see Kane power bomb Subban through a table. Especially with the way he’s been playing this season.

We’re going to be doing betting tips for this event – they’re mostly just for fun but hey the only thing that can make all star weekend better is betting! So let’s get to it:

Where To Bet the All Star Props:

Canada: All bets and props mentioned within this article are available to bet at at Sports Interaction, Canadas #1 sportsbook and hockeys #1 sportsbook.

America: Bovada have a few lines right now and may have props up later. They are usually good for that. They just add them late. 5Dimes have a few. But for sure check out Bovada later on.

Outside North America: I’m not seeing many props anywhere. You can do O/U betting and match winner betting at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv. I also spoke to Pinnacle Sports and they may add props later. You can also do 5Dimes.

Matchups:

We are on Central to beat Pacific, and Metro to beat Atlantic.

John Scott Total Goals Over 1.5:

The John Scott story and why he is here is great. He’s going to be front and center and someone everyone is paying attention to. You have to think the dude has at least one goal in him – especially in this format where anyone can really score. His team-mates are going to be helping him get that goal to put a nice finishing touch on the story.

That’s why the books have his odds incredibly low at 1.45 odds to score a goal. But to score at least TWO goals? That’s where the odds jump up. 2.30 odds and we’re on that. I mean 2 goals isn’t really that much considering how many goals per team there will be.

Central Division Top Goalscorer: Patrick Kane

Kane thrives with open ice. This is a stacked team who will most likely win the tournament. Kane has been on fire all year – one of his best years yet with that crazy point run – and why stop now? He’s going to be up for this game and going to put on a show.

5.00 odds for that.

Central Division to Win Outright:

We’re also going to take the Central to win the entire thing. 2.70 odds there. Like we said just so stacked and even though variance is a big thing they just have too many good players and should take this.

Pacific Division Top Goalscorer: Taylor Hall

Taylor Hall thrives on 3 on 3 and his speed is going to be a huge factor. He’s played great this year despite the fact he’s playing on a very crap team – the dude is going to thrive with some stars around him and we expect him to enter beast mode.

5.00 odds for that.

At least 3 Hat Tricks?

This one is called Hat Trick of Hat Tricks and it’s will any team have 3 players score 3 or more goals each in the same game.

It’s a tough one but the odds of 6.50 are too hard to ignore. Players are going to catch fire and with limited players it’s very possible it will happen.

MVP:

This ones very tough actually. We’d lean towards a Predators player winning it. Would love to say Renne but man the goalies are going to get lit up. We might throw a tiny bet on Weber as the hometown captain at 6.25 odds but we would probably skip this one.

Other Props:

If there are any other props you want betting advice on just let us know in the comments and we can answer with our thoughts. Sports Interaction is clearly the #1 sportsbook for hockey props.

my site doesn’t offer player props ๐Ÿ™ but I do like the under 14.5 in each game. They are only playing 20 minutes and with $1M at stake you’re going to see a high compete level. Plus, there’s very little defense played in a normal 3 x 3 and those often end without a goal. Finally, goalies see a lot of these shots and even with 25 shots per team (high estimate) you aren’t going to see GAA in the .700s. This isn’t lacrosse. I’ve only got $5 on the under for each game so I’m not risking much.
