Well that was nice of the Ducks last night. They wanted to make their game with the Jets competitive, so they gave them a +4 handicap to start the game. I remember we’d do that on the school yard playing soccer – the crap team would always get a “starty”. Much like last night it never mattered, the good team would always win as the Ducks did last night, winning 5-4 in overtime.

Unfortunately it caused us to have a 1-2 night as we already went with Ducks on the handicap. That would’ve been the perfect time to do some live betting at http://www.Intertops.eu. I mean down 4 goals halfway through the 2nd period – there would’ve been some nice betting odds on that one for sure.

It’s April 1st, April Fools Day. I was tempted to pick 3 big underdogs tonight. If we go 3-0 then great – I’m a king. However if we go 0-3 then tomorrow I can just say “APRIL FOOLS” and all is right with the world. I think that’s how it works anyway.

It’s a new month, so why don’t you treat yourself to a new bonus? Sign up at a new online sportsbook, claim their bonus and pad your bankroll with free bets paid for by the Sportsbook? Always a good way to get the bankroll building. I know people get lazy with that – but if you’re serious about making money on a regular basis from betting hockey, bonus building is the best way to get started.

We were around the halfway pack again in last nights Daily Fantasy Hockey tournament. Despite no cashes yet, it’s so fun seeing Kopitar getting an assist, then hitting refresh on your phone constantly to see how it affects your rankings.

Alright, April 1st 2014 and a lot of hockey tonight. Everyones favourite jokesters, the Toronto Maple Leafs, continue their month long April Fools gag of not getting in the playoffs, taking on the Calgary Flames. Should be a lot of fun hockey tonight.

Flames vs Leafs: Over 5.5 Goals

Have to go with this. Leafs have been able to score at LEAST 2 goals a game since like forever – yet have been leaking goals like crazy as well. Seriously – the last time the Leafs scored less than 2 was March 3rd. Flames are always good for a lot of goals depending on the team, and they match up well with the Leafs.

Go with the Over 5.5 goals tonight in this one. http://www.Bovada.lv for Americans and http://www.Bodog.eu for everyone else. for 1.90 odds.

Penguins vs Hurricanes: Penguins in Regulation

1.80 odds for this. Pittsburgh match up well against Carolina, and after slumping a fair bit they’ve bounced back with two big wins over the Blue Jackets and the Blackhawks. Hurricanes coming into this after a harsh loss against the Senators that essentially killed their playoff hopes. Pens are starting to play with that confidence again.

Go with them to win in regulation at http://www.Intertops.eu.

Sharks vs Oilers: Sharks -1.5

There is some nice value in this one at 2.00. Sharks have dominated the Oilers in 3 of the 4 games they’ve played – actually even in the game where the Oilers beat the Sharks 3-0, that was one of those ridiculous goalie performances where Scrivens had 59 freaking saves.

After a few good performances, Oilers have been hammered quite a lot lately, and I like that to continue tonight. Go with the Sharks – let’s just hope they don’t give them a 4 goal handicap like SOME teams out there…..

Remember….take 10 minutes, sign up for a new bookie and get yourself a bonus to kickstart the month and make these games interesting prior to the playoffs….

What about Jagr+co. aka the Devils? Lieuwen is about to start again and he’s 0-2-0 so far with the Sabres. I haven’t seen their match against the Panthers though, so I don’t really know what to expect.
