Wow – it really WAS April Fools Day yesterday I guess, what with the Toronto Maple Leafs winning and all.

Our pick of the Penguins in regulation went to hell as they were DESTROYED 4-1 by the Hurricanes, and Edmonton came back from 3-1 down to actually take the LEAD against the Sharks, thus losing the handicap bet for us.

What a crappy start to the month.

Oh well, onward and upwards, and it wasn’t ALL BAD last night.

For example, if you’re a Sidney Crosby hater, then I’m sure you will enjoy this:

I saw that last night and it made everything better.

Let’s have a better showing tonight, shall we? I have 2 more days of tips left then I am off to New Orleans for Wrestlemania. Scott will be handling tips possibly up until the end of the regular season, and of course we’ll both be teaming up for the playoffs.

Only 4 games tonight. Islanders visit Ottawa, Bruins visit Detroit to take on the Red Wings, the Oilers are on the road in Anaheim and the Coyotes visit LA to take on the Kings.

Islanders vs Senators: Over 5.5 Goals

I like this game to have a lot of goals. The Islanders are playing with a lot of Rookies, both teams matchup well. They both generally leak goals like crazy, and I could see this one being another big night of scoring – possibly 7 or 8 goals.

Going with the Over 5.5 goals at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. for 1.76 betting odds.

Oilers vs Ducks: Ducks -1.5

Edmonton actually won their last encounter. But Edmonton have been very poor, and will be exhausted after last nights demoralizing loss. Anaheim meanwhile are on a momentum rush especially after that big comeback against the Jets, and had a nights rest.

Going with the Ducks -1.5 here at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. for 1.95 odds, and also loading up on the Ducks offense for my Daily Fantasy Hockey

.

Bruins vs Red Wings: Bruins to win

I’m going with the short odds pick here of Bruins to win at 1.68 odds, although check our NHL Live Betting Odds page because you might be able to get better.

It’s a tricky game for the Bruins, and the Wings killed them previously in Detroit, but Boston are just an absolute machine right now. They’ve had a couple of tight ones on the road, which is the only reason I’m backing them to win as opposed to win in regulation at 2.10 odds.

3rd times the charm with the puck-line right? Just messin, i would/did/will make the same puck-line picks…perhaps im the bad luck. Come on Ducks! I need a big night, last few weeks have been bad for me.

Bet placed. Ducks-1.5 @2.00
Be afraid everyone, cause this one just WON’T happen. I’m too unlucky with the Ducks this year.

nervouzfella

Sure. The ducks just f*ing me up once again. 0-1 after 2nd.
Just tell me when you want the ducks struggle, and I’ll bet them to.

7th STRAIGHT lost bet with the Ducks. It’s crazy.

I’m surprised you guys didn’t tip the Salami yesterday. I played the under and hit it with plenty of room to spare…

Generally with the high variance, we only look at the Salami or Home/Away if we’re not confident enough on 3 bets. Or if we see a lot of games that we mark as Under or Over but aren’t confident enough to back one(or multiple) specific games.
