Another 2-1 night last night for the NHL tips and the loss came from the tip I was most confident in.

We had the Stars to win in regulation against the Panthers but the lost 3-2. The Stars should have won this game but all is not lost as they still sit a point ahead of the Coyotes for the last playoff spot in the West.

We had Over 5.5 in the Sabres vs Flyers game and we won when the Flyers came out on top 5-2. We also had the Penguins to beat the Avalanche and this was a close one but the Penguins won 3-2 in a shootout.

Graeme gets back from New Orleans tomorrow after the drunk fest that was Wrestlemania. I’m sure he will have some crazy stories to pass along although I’m not sure they will be shared on here lol

Today is a slow day of NHL action with only 3 games taking place; Flames – Devils, Wild – Jets and Ducks vs Canucks. With the exception of the Devils, all of these teams have already sealed their fate. Although mathematically still in it, the Canucks need to win their final 4 games and hope that the Stars gain zero point in their last 4 to have a shot.

With only 3 games on I’ll only be doing one tip. If I had to make a guess as to who will win the other two games I would and will be betting on the Wild over the Jets and the Ducks over the Canucks.

Flames vs Devils: Devils Win in regulation

The Devils are 3 points behind the Blue Jackets for 8th in the East.

After losing Parise and Kovalchuk and then bringing in all those new faces I didn’t expect the Devils to be in this position but here we are and they proved many wrong.

The Flames have been bad all year but have been able to win some games against some tough competition.

Both teams are on a 2 game winning streak. But with all the Devils have on the line you have to like their chances in this one.

Not great odds for a Devils money line win at 1.60 so let’s take the win in regulation

I like the Devils (not in general, but in this matchup). What do you think about high stakes?
