Hi guys,

First of all – the December Dynasty. I wasn’t around all weekend so I didn’t update it but I’ve just spent the last hour updating it all now, and you can view it by clicking this link.

Hats off to Jack F. who is 1/3 of the way towards winning himself an XBox One or Playstation 4. He currently is #1 in the leaderboard at 10-0. Francis L. is 2nd with a 10-2 record, then there are a bunch of people with 7 wins.

If you’re participating be sure to double check your picks are all correct and I tallied it up right. I’m trying to do my own verification and will go through it with a fine toothcomb at the end, but just want to make sure it’s all good.

We went 1-2 unfortunately with the tips, as we’re just not getting the luck needed right now. We had the Flyers to win but they ended up losing in a shootout, while we had the Penguins -1.5 and they had that covered until 56 seconds left in the game. Islanders/Ducks over was our sole win of the night. Always frustrating when you’re so close on a night like that as it could’ve easily been 3-0, but that’s variance for you. Senators had not scored in a shootout all season prior to last night.

Let’s turn it around tonight with a 3-0 night, shall we? That’s what I thought. Let’s get to the tips:

Sharks vs Islanders Betting Tips: Sharks -1.5

Sharks are on a bad run of results, with their defense and powerplay not showing up the last few games. Even though they lost 3-1 to Minnesota they managed to get 38 shots against them.

Islanders are brutal on the road, the worst road team in the NHL and haven’t won in forever. Nabokov returning will probably turn things around, but he’s not expected to play tonight. He’s not completely healthy and I can’t see them rushing him back for a massive game like this where the pressure would really be on.

Even if he is back – eh, I still like the bet but I like it better with him out. Back the Sharks -1.5 at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines) as they pile the misery on the Islanders some more.

Bruins vs Flames: Flames to Win

Boston started off their Canadian road trip with a nice 5-2 win over Toronto, off the back of a victory over the Penguins, matchup well against the Flames and I’d normally back them to win here.

However the flu bug has hit Boston. Chara, Campbell, Johnson and Miller may not be playing, and with Hamilton out as well and other players potentially feeling under the weather, it’s the perfect time for Calgary to get the upset win.

The Flames have had a good few last games, with 3 wins out of 4 including a win against the Oilers. They’ve been getting the wins lately and I like them for the underdog win tonight with them hopefully rising to the game due to Iggy being back. Back the Flames to win – 2.35 odds at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines).

Canadiens vs Kings: Goal Before 9:30 = No

Both these teams usually start very conservatively. It’ll most likely be a low scoring game as it is, but I see it being a very quiet 1st period. If you want a bonus bet, you can place the highest scoring period to be the 2nd period at 2.5 odds.

I’m sticking with no goal before 9:30. You can back that at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines)
