Two perfect nights in a row! Granted last night was only 1-0 – but hey, I’ll take it. What a game that was too – so bloody intense. Penguins up 3-1 and I thought they had wrapped it up. Rangers pulled it back to 3-3 to go to OT. I wasn’t too concerned because it’s the Pittsburgh Penguins – but then that BS goalie interference call, and suddenly we have a 4 on 3. If you had money on the Penguins last night you know how stressful that was – just insane, with the Rangers teeing off constantly.

If you’re participating in the Dynasty it’s all up to date. I’m still in the #1 spot although that’s mainly because I’ve had no games the last few days. I still have 15 picks left including 4 tonight – Avalanche, Flyers, Leafs and Red Wings.

Busy night in the NHL with 11 games on the board. Lot of interesting games with the Red Wings hoping to get back on track at home to the Calgary Flames. My Habs take on the Blues – they played in November, and St Louis won in a shootout. Oilers versus Avalanche – of course, last time they played the Oilers hammered them 8-2. Will Colorado return the favour?

.

Game of the night for me is the Kings vs the Sharks. They’ve played twice so far this season, with LA winning 4-3 in overtime and San Jose winning 3-2 in a shootout, with the home team coming up trumps both times. That should be a tight one.

Let’s get to the NHL Betting Tips for December 19th, 2013:

Grand Salami – Under 59.5

Despite the amount of games – I still feel tonight is a low scoring night. The line is 59.5 goals for the Salami, which is about 5.4 goals on average per game. But looking at the games tonight, I see enough low scoring ones that I like there to be about 52-55 goals tonight, which allows for a freak game to bring the total up a bit.

Lightning vs Predators: Under 5.5

The Nashville offense has been fairly solid the last couple of games, not counting their match 2 nights ago against the Blackhawks. Losing Stamkos hasn’t affected the Lightning as much as one would expect – although there has been a few games where you can see their offense missing him.

I see this as a game between two solid yet not dynamic offenses, and it will be a tight one. I like this one to come close to the 5.5 line, but can’t see it going past 3-2. Back Under 5.5 at http://www.Bovada.lv for Americans and http://www.Bodog.eu for everyone else..

Avalanche vs Oilers: Avalanche to Win In Regulation

Going to back this one at 1.80 odds that the Colorado Avalanche win within 60 minutes.

It’s not just about the 8-2 win and the thirst for revenge; it’s what has happened past that. It just looks like that was a blip on the radar – as the Oilers reverted back to their losing ways. Colorado haven’t been amazing since that win by any stretch – but Duchene is lighting it up and is coming into this game very hot.

This is not the easiest match-up for the Avs; but it’s one I believe they can win by a goal or two. Back the Avs to win in regulation at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines).

Take a ride on the alternate puck line with the Minnesota Wild. At 4.3 odds its worth a half unit play. The Pens are banged up and playing thier 4th game in 6 nights. The Wild are relatively fresh and come from the stronger conference with a similar W/L record to Pitt.
