A 1-1 night last night a huge profit of 0.10 units.
The Habs dicey form continues, with a 3-2 home loss to the Florida Panthers – blowing a 2 goal lead in the process as well. Concerning – but it’s something you see a lot by teams this time around. I honestly think the seeding for a lot of players doesn’t matter – and when you’re practically in the playoffs you suddenly lose the urge to push the games just that much more.
A semi-busy Friday, with 7 games on the board. The Flames continue their playoff push as they host the Anaheim Ducks. Leafs continue their #1 draft pick push as they aim to lose to the Carolina Hurricanes. Should be a fun night of hockey.
Rangers vs Sabres Betting Tips:
Coming off that 5-4 loss at home to the Canucks, I like the Rangers to come out and dominate the Sabres – who are themselves coming off quite the game, with that 3-2 win over Philly.
Losing Lundqvist has made the Rangers fun as hell to watch. They just play this high tempo game where they just want to keep scoring as if they were playing with an empty net. It would make the over appealing, but it’s been a long time(January 30th) since a Sabres game last went over 5 goals.
Canucks vs Devils Betting Tips:
Hard to ignore that line – 2.00 for the Canucks to win.
Canucks are coming off two big wins – over the Wild and the Rangers. Both high scoring affairs. They’ve had a lot of good battles lately with wins over the Blackhawks and the Bruins as well.
This line is scary though because it’s the New Jersey Devils – and Canucks are big underdogs? Devils were on a 4 game losing streak before beating the Sabres 2-1, and while they ARE a team that play better rested – it really shouldn’t warrant them being favourites.
I know the Canucks have their injury issues – but look at the teams that the current crop of players have beaten.
I could see the bookies making this a tighter game odds wise – but 2.00 for the Canucks is too high in my opinion. Take the Canucks to win. Yeah they’re probably a fair bit tired – but 2.00 is just too good a price.
Hurricanes vs Leafs Betting Tips:
A lot is being made of tonights game. It’s noted that Leafs came to Carolina last time with 6 wins in a row, looking to make it 7. Instead, they lost 4-1 and that started their bad run which is 4-21-2. So you’re hearing a lot of hype and so on about how big a game this is for the Leafs.
Thing is – Leafs played Carolina last month and lost 4-1 as well. And yeah the Hurricanes suck – but the Leafs are yet to show that they have what it takes to get a win. They’re just playing some terrible hockey at the moment, and until they start playing better it’s easier to just keep it simple, and bet against them.
