Another great night of NHL betting tips last night as we went 2-1. If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook then you would have seen our other tip of the Bruins to win in regulation bringing or record for the day to 3-1.

First off we had the Bruins who gave up the first goal but scored the next 4 in their 4-1 win over the Jets. We had the Avalanche to beat the Sharks and after the Avs scored the first 4 goals of the game the Sharks scored the next 3 but Colorado held on for the 4-3 victory. Over 5.5 in the Red Wings vs Stars game was our last winning tip when the Wings beat the Stars 5-1. Our loss came when the Kings beat the Canucks 3-1 in Luongo’s return.

Just a crazy number of goals scored last night and people who were backing the Grand Salami over bet would have cashed in with ease.

The Leafs got destroyed by the Rangers 7-1, after being down early the Flyers came back to win against the Coyotes 5-3,the Blues extended their win streak to 5 when the won against the Jackets 6-2. Just goals, goals and more goals last night.

A great day full of hockey is scheduled for us today with games beginning at 1:00pm. The thing with the Olympics is they have to take so much time off that they have to cram in a bunch of games throughout the year which makes for some great action filled days.

Here are the NHL Tips for Sunday, January 5th

.

Jets vs Penguins: Penguins to win in regulation

Despite injuries to significant superstars, the Penguins continue to steamroll the competition. If they can continue, and I’m sure they will, to win up to the Olympic break then some of their players will get some much needed time off

The Jets are on a 2 game losing skid and will push that to 3 games after today’s matchup. The Pens are just too strong and playing in their own barn makes matters worse for the Jets.

As always when there is a mismatch taking place it’s best to bet the win in regulation prop to up the betting odds and we are doing just that

Bet the Penguins to win in regulation at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. for 1.62 betting odds

Predators vs Hurricanes: Predators to win

The Canes are on a 3 game win streak after their 3-2 over the Islanders last night.

But during that game team captain and their best player, Eric Stall, left with an injury. Add in that their starting goalie, Cam Ward, will be out for this one and you have to like the Preds chances to come out on top tonight.

The Preds are playing some bad hockey as of late so what better time for them to turn things around then against a injured Hurricanes team. This has the chance to go either way but the Predators are relatively healthy so this has to the tip the scales in their favour

Lightning vs Oilers: Over 5.5 goals

2-6-2 and a four game losing streak will land you in the basement and that’s exactly where the Oilers are. Over the last four games they have been lit up conceding goals of: 5, 5, 4 and 4. Also during this losing streak the games have all went over 5.5.

Tampa Bay continues to keep pace with the other strong teams in the East without Stamkos. They are on a 2 game winning streak and should push that to 3 after today’s contest

The Lightning have scored 18 goals over their last 5 games so when they face a terrible defensive team like the Oilers then the goals will be pouring in.

Bet Over 5.5 goals in the Lightning vs Oilers game at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines) for 1.95 odds
