1-1 for the NHL tips last night. Our win came with the over 5.5 in the Maple Leafs vs Habs game when the Habs beat the Leafs 4-3 in overtime. Our loss came in the outdoor game where we had the Penguins to win but the Blackhawks handled them with ease winning 5-1 behind Jonathan Toews and his 2 goals and 1 assist performance.

The Capitals beat the Bruins 4-2 to begin the home stretch and try and claim a playoff position. Marty St. Louis continued his amazing play scoring twice in the Lightning’s 4-2 win over the Stars. The Stars are now tied with the Canucks and Jets for the final playoff position in the West and this is going to be a crazy finish to the season for these teams. The battle of Alberta saw the Flames come out on top of the Oilers 2-1 in OT.

Today we have a nice busy Sunday of NHL action with plenty of important games taking place including the first half of a home and home series between the Flyers and Capitals as they battle for the playoffs and the outdoor Heritage Classic game between the Senators and the Canucks.

Here are the NHL betting tips for Sunday, March 2nd.

Flyer vs Caps: Over 5.5 Goals

This game is going to be a good one with as it’s the first of a home and home and 1 point separating these teams with the playoffs on the line.

These teams have both underperformed all year long and now find themselves on the edge of the playoffs when they were both preseason locks to be in.

This is the 4th of 5 games between these clubs with the Caps winning the first two and the Flyers the third. All games have gone over 5.5 with ease; 7-0, 5-4 and 5-2.

This will continue in today’s game.

Hurricanes vs Ducks: Ducks Win in Regulation

The Ducks have been the best team in the league all year and are comfortably in first place thanks to it.

The Hurricanes have had yet another rough year and find themselves out of the playoffs and quickly losing ground and any chance of making them.

Look for the Ducks to win this game and continue their amazing year

Blues vs Coyotes: Blues To Win

The Blues were already one of the best teams in the league and then they go out and make a HUGE trade to make them the favourites to win the cup.

By swapping Jaroslav Halak for Ryan Miller and Steve Ott, the Blues are now scary. Miller has always been one of the best goalies in the world but was playing on a weak Buffalo Sabres team. Now he comes to St. Louis where they have arguably the best defense in the league and he should once again shine.

Look for the Blues to win in Millers first game with them where Millers all time record against the Coyotes is 6-0 and after today will be 7-0

any thoughts on the Over/under on TB/Col Game. I was leaning towards the Over 5.5 but the trend says take the Under with it going 6-1-1. Tampa just played last night and could be low on energy. But both teams got talented goal scorers. Might be why this is a good one to stay away from.
