1-1 last night for the tips. But it was a good night of playoff hockey. And a happy Mothers Day to all the amazing moms out there.
First we had the Canadiens to win their game. Well the Bruins scored the first 3 goals and didn’t look back on their way to a 4-2 win over the Habs. Game 6 is on Monday in Montreal with the Bruins up 3-2. Things aren’t looking good for the Canadiens.
Our win of the night came when we bet the good value Ducks to win against the Kings. It was the Ducks John Gibson, who in his NHL playoff debut, recorded a 28 save shutout. 2 point games from both Getzlaf and Perry were crucial in the Ducks 2-0 win. This series is now tied at 2 games a piece. Game 5 takes place Monday where the Ducks are at “home”.
Tonight we have 2 more important games taking place. First it’s the Penguins in New York to take on the Rangers. The Rangers again have their backs against the wall in this one and with a loss they will be eliminated from the 2014 playoffs. Next up it’s the Minnesota Wild vs the Chicago Blackhawks. After winning the first 2 games at home, the Hawks have lost the last 2 in Minnesota. The outcome of this game will swing the series towards the winning team.
Penguins vs Rangers: Penguins Win
The Pens have won both of the games they have played so far in New York in this series.
The Pens can’t afford to lose another one here where the series would then be tied at 3-3 and make a tense game 7.
I like the Pens to seal the deal tonight and move on to the Eastern Conference finals.

Wild vs Blackhawks: Blackhawks -1.5
The Hawks have lost their last two games to the Wild but the Hawks are familiar with this kind of situation.
Having played so much playoff hockey in the last 6 years the Hawks know what it takes to get the job done.
They need to have a huge bounce back game tonight. The Hawks haven’t lost at home during these playoffs so I expect a big game from them in this one to remind the hockey world that they are the team to beat in the West. With a win the Hawks would take a 3-2 series lead and would defiantly make up for their miserable games 3 & 4 performances.
