Great night for the NHL betting last night as we went 3-0.
First we had the Blackhawks -1.5 and they dominated this game from start to finish and won 4-1. Bickell scored again to continue his strong second round and it seems as though he by far plays his best hockey in the playoffs just like last season. The Hawks are up 2-0 and head to Minnesota for game 3 on Tuesday.
Next we had the Penguins to bounce back from their game one loss and win game 2 in regulation which they did 3-0. Big game from Letang who scored and added two helpers. This game could have been much worse if not for Lundqvist who made some huge saves despite the loss. Game 3 is tonight in New York with the series tied at 1-1.
Our last tip was the home teams would score -1.5 more goals then the away teams and this was an easy win. The home teams outscored the away teams 7-1.
Tomorrow is the big day from Graeme and myself as we are heading to Montreal to watch the Habs and Bruins in game 3. Hopefully Graeme makes it back in one piece from Edmonton. Hopefully his Ultimate Warrior mask doesn’t.
Here are the NHL playoff betting tips for tonight’s action.
Penguins vs Rangers: Over 5
With these teams playing last night you know that the intensity will be there from the opening faceoff until the end of the game.
Getting shutout last night is going to piss the Rangers off and they will be firing the puck at Fluery like crazy to make up for not being able to get one past him last night and to pick up the win at home.
Although Crosby hasn’t scored yet during these playoffs, whenever he is on the ice the Pens just dominate the play. He’s due for a goal or at least a game where he puts up big numbers.
With the first two games staying under or at 5 goals you have to like this game to go over with both teams tired from last nights action and their D will be showing the effects. Plus the Rangers owe Lundqvist some goals after he did everything he could last game.
Kings vs Ducks: Ducks Win
This series has the potential to go 7 games. And if it does we all saw what the Kings are capable of during the first round.
The Ducks had the first game in the bag until there was 7 seconds left in the 3rd when Gaborik single handedly tied and then won it in OT.
The Ducks will win this game and tie the series at 1-1. These teams may trade wins right up until game 7.
