1-2 last night with the tips. But at least our win came from the Blackhawks -1.5 bet when they beat the Florida Panthers 6-2.
The Bruins scored 3 unanswered goals in the 2nd period and beat the Leafs with ease 5-2. The Canucks beat a suddenly average Avalanche team 3-1. The Capitals beat the Rangers 4-1 and are now on a 2 game win streak and the Wild beat the slumping Sharks 3-1 to push the Sharks losing streak to 3 games.
4 games on for us today: the Flyers – Sens, Blue Jackets – Penguins, Hurricanes – Canucks and the Islanders vs the Ducks. So some decent games. The Penguins may also get Malkin back today. Not that they needed any more help but still good news for Pens fans.
Here are the NHL betting tips for Monday, December 9th 2013
Flyers vs Senators: Flyers Win
The Senators have been playing just terrible as of late and are falling fast in the standings because of it. The are on a 2 game losing streak and are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games.
The Flyers are going to be without Vincent Lecavalier who was placed on the injured reserve with a back injury. The Flyers are in need of some wins and will have to get those wins without their big free agent acquisition during the off season.
The Flyers beat the Sens 5-2 back in November and I expect that Philly will come out on top in this one as well. Giroux is due to break out at any moment and now that Vinny is out what better time to put his team on his back and get them back into the playoff picture.
Blue Jackets vs Penguins: Penguins -1.5
The Penguins may get Malkin back for this game so that’s only one of the many reasons to bet the Penguins handicap for this game. With a win in this game the Penguins would move into first place in the East.
Even without Malkin the Pens should destroy the Jackets who are really banged up right now. The are without the starting goalie and reigning Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky, their best forward Marion Gaborik, one of their best defenseman James Wisniewski the list goes on and on.
Islanders vs Ducks: Over 5.5 goals
The New York Islanders are tied for 2nd in the league, with Florida, for goals scored on them with 104 and trail only the Oilers who lead the league with 105.
The Ducks can score goals but also give up a bunch as well. The fact that they are in 2nd place in the league with only a +17 goal differential is the evidence. The Islanders who are in 28th place have a -29 differential.
So there will be goals in this game and plenty of them.
