We went a perfect 3-0 in the NHL last night.

We had the Dallas Stars to win in regulation and the Stars put in a very solid performance to beat Buffalo 3-1. I love watching games like that – where a road team just looks so solid and they go out there and conduct their business in a real professional manner.

We had the Leafs to beat the Avalanche and that was easy as pie. The Leafs won 5-1 in a dominant victory. Would have been 10-1 if Babcock had his way with the nets.

And finally we had the Penguins to pick up a key win and they managed to do that. Wild fought hard but Pittsburgh managed to hold on for the all important win.

This brings our November record to 23-21 for +2.85 units, as we continue to try and turn things around after a poor start to the season.

Tonight there are three games on the board. Let’s look at each one, give thoughts and see if we’ve got any betting tips.

And if you’re American be sure to grab an account at BetOnline because they continue to offer better odds than 5Dimes etc. They’re really killing it with hockey odds this season.

Hell even if you’re in Canada or Finland or the UK etc – we’d recommend BetOnline. They offer a 2.13 line today which is 2.05 elsewhere.

Canucks vs Jets Betting Tips:

Both teams go into this on losing streaks. The Canucks have lost the last 3 games to Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa although all 3 have been tight. The Jets are on a brutal 6 game losing streak and have got absolutely pounded in a few of them – although they showed some solid fight against the Blues.

This is one where despite a lot of the stats favouring the Canucks to win, we both feel the Jets are the one that will win and stop the losing streak.

That’s where odds and line chasing is important though. Because after deciding we looked at the odds and the first odds we saw were 1.72. That’s not a play. Even though we like the Jets – mathematically, it’s a wrong decision.

Comparing the odds we managed to get 1.83 which we feel is better and makes it worth betting.

Jets to win.

USA: -123 Odds at BetOnline.
Everyone Else: 1.80 Odds at William Hill.

Capitals vs Detroit Betting Tips:

The Capitals were blanked last time they visited Detroit. They lost 1-0 with Mrazek saving 38 shots. 15 of those were from Ovechkin.

While it’s not confirmed yet it’s expected that Mrazek will be in goal for the Red Wings again.

It’s always scary betting the unders with the Capitals offense. We were leaning towards Under 5 goals but the Capitals ability to go off scares us and we both had a bad feeling about it. Ovi has to be looking forward to getting another shot at Mrazek.

So NO BET for this game – but if you want to bet the Under 5 then here are the odds:

Canada: 2.10 Odds at Pinnacle Sports.
USA: +109 Odds at BetOnline.
Everyone Else: 2.10 Odds at Pinnacle Sports.

Blackhawks vs Oilers Betting Tips:

Blackhawks vs Oilers are always good for the overs. This is one of those trends where it’s a case of just looking at the odds and making sure there are no major issues we’re missing. Not worth thinking too closely about it. The only issue for this one is the Oilers players have the flu bug affecting them.

We’re getting some solid odds on Over 5.5 goals and that’s what we’re going to take.

Canada: 2.13 Odds at BetOnline.
USA: +113 Odds at BetOnline.
Everyone Else: 2.13 Odds at BetOnline.
