Another 1-1 night with the tips

We had the Islanders to beat the Flames in regulation.  The Isles won 2-1 but it was in OT.

We also had Over 5.5 in the Stars – Blues game and this came through for us when the Blues won 4-3 in OT. I had said i liked the blues chances to win but felt more comfortable going with the over.

A slow night last night with only the 2 games to a full night with 12 tonight.

Hurricanes vs Rangers Betting Tips:

The standings will show you the Rangers are the better team.  But Carolina has been playing some decent hockey recently.

But now the Hurricanes are without Jordan Stall and a team like the Canes needs as much help as they can when they are taking on the Rangers.

The Rangers are coming off of a 2-0 loss to the Sens which was the first time this season that they were shutout so they’ll be looking to get back on track in this one.

Bruins vs Flyers Betting Tips:

Over the last 10 games between these 2 there has been an average of 5.80 gpg.

The Bruins should be looking at this game as a chance to score as the Flyers allow 3.30 per game which has them 29th in the league in that category.

Both of these teams shoot the puck a bunch and are both in the top 4 in shots per game.  These teams will be battling it out for the playoffs all season for possibly the wildcard spot so this should be great game.

Maple Leafs vs Oilers Betting Tips:

It’s Matthews vs McDavid pt.2 and we can’t forget about Marner.

These teams played each other on November 1st and the Leafs won 3-2 in OT.  Matthews and McDavid were held pointless.  These 2 players have picked up their play recently so I doubt they’ll be pointless again in this one.

Since that game, McDavid has 17 points in 13 games.  In his last 2 games Matthews has 3 goals and an assist.

Over the last 10 meetings there is an average of over 6 gpg.  The Leafs are in 2nd with 3.14 gpg but are 28th in goals against allowing 3.19.  And now a McDavid on fire for Toronto.   I see this being a high scoring game.  And the Leafs are getting Nylander back for this one also.

Canucks and Avalanche can be the best underdogs for today. Lets see how will bet on the net. Also Sharks -1.5 @ 2.18 seems to be a value bet against Smith golie.

      AVS YEAH! 😉

  • Norbert Buzási

I am still not sure about the play for today, but I like some options:
    Jackets-Lightning 5o @1.90-1.95
    Flyers-Bruins 5o @1.95
Montreal ML (this one is the biggest queston for me) @2.00
    Sharks in regulation @1.75
    Sens ML @1.70

    • Norbert Buzási

O5 at the Flyers game at 1.95 and Sens ML at 1.81 are my final plays.

      • Norbert Buzási

5 to the Sabres? Really? Damn!

  • Morten Ahlbo

    Rangers ML
    Senators ML
    Sharks ML
    3,82

      ML what is this?

      • magus1349

        Win including OT and shootout.

        • dusan

thanks for the information. I bet so today.

  • Jens Denmark

The Islanders did not get the job done for me last night but I’m hoping that the Senators will come through tonight.

They are 7-2-1 in their last ten matches and have won four in a row and are currently second in the Atlantic division. Against the Sabres, last place in Atlantic, which are 2-5-3 and coming off a 3-1 loss to the Caps and four straight losses on the road and have scored only four goals in these four matches, I have to go with the Senators.

    At @ 2.05 I think it’s a fair bet to take on.

  • magus1349

Tampa Bay, Senators, Blackhawks and Avalanche.
    Single and one combo.

    • DawsonArkiri

What about ducks? 🙂 They might beat habs

      • magus1349

I don’t know what to say. Maybe OT. I think better stay away from them.:)

Devils ML ODD 2.3 with 1 unit

    Some notes from me:
Im spectating the ODDs and we have drops on Panthers (2.2->2.15) and Vancouver(2.5->2.3). I mentioned once that those are good signs in most cases for my tips.
And the ODD for the Devils raised from 2.2 to 2.3. This is a 50:50 sign. Sometimes I think bookies raise ODDs to prevent people from taking the right thing. At all I’m taking the Devils because I think today they really have the chance to win the game (even without Hall).
Also Vancouver could be a nice one, because here was kind of a big ODD drop. But I’m going solo on Devils because there is not enough time to raise the stake on Vancouver (but it could be if they play like 0:0 1st period).
    Good luck and have fun:)

    • https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hockey4Life-NHL-Expert/1378089022466314 César Hockey4Life

Too much good players out for the NUCKS be careful buddy. I think they’re going to lose in regulation tonight…

      • Alanson

        I can’t confirm this.

    • iFoyy

Maybe some possible combos u got? 🙂

      • Alanson

You can try Devils and Vancouver, but I will just do this one bet.

        • iFoyy

Gonna try it , ty 🙂

    • Bjørn Kjeldsen

“Sometimes I think bookies raise ODDs to prevent people from taking the right thing.” WTF!!!!! Do you even have any knowledge of betting?!?! This is not how it works, it is US the users at the betting sites who move the ODDS, not the bookies to trick us.. Ty for a good laugh

      • Alanson

And now you make me laugh. 😉

        • Bjørn Kjeldsen

I know you just saying that it is something you just think sometimes.. but come on, i really doesn’t trust your analysis, great tactic going after the underdog, but i really am not
          convinced about your hitrate 🙂

          • Alanson

Through my program I’ve got some abstraction in betting. I have a 50% success rate with higher ODDs without any human influence. And I’m spectating the progress of ODDs with those bets for years. If you think I have no clue about what I’m talking about then you are free to go. But I can say it gives you sometimes the kind of feeling that things can’t be like bookies tell you. I can’t tell you what bookies do, but I know from my study in stochastics that bookies present ODDs in a way they will always win. It depends a lot on expectancy values and I think I have found a way to see their “tricks”. But I can’t confirm it as scientist.

(Maybe I’m going to try to confirm it in a white paper after this season! But in german! :D)
And now after I thought more about it. Just imagine the ODD drops for a bookie, that from his sight he will get a disadvantage. It is logical correct to think, that they will readjust the ODD. Because they have their own knowledge about their ODDs and successrates. I wouldn’t say that this is impossible. This is what they can do if they are like under pressure. And it is not like that I’m just betting because of ODDs. ODDs give me the value for my bet. This is essential for making money. 😉

Notes: If you edit to much it will end as spam!

          • Bjørn Kjeldsen

Don’t know what to say, ijust think you look at the wrong aspects in your analysis, and it is too confusing to read.

And this night was a good example.. Jets was one of my favourite bets, i even took them -1.5 (lost) that was thy i was so frustrated with your analysis yesterday.. Off course if Devils would have won, you would have been the celebrating one

          • Alanson

I don’t need to analyse much, I just have to look for missing players and what bookies do with the ODDs.
Years ago I also wrote big textes about games, but these days it is like bullshit for me.
So we both lost. ;( I was to risky without Hall and to tired to look for Vancouver. Shit can happen every time! Good luck in the future.

          • Ed Alexis Licarte

it’s alright alanson i still believe in your picks😆

        • lion

Sorry mate but I dont believe too that odds thingi. You did pretty well and I am very amazed of it but your program is losing last 3 days.

          • Alanson

Me and my program just lost the 2nd bet?
Combos are not from my program! Watch for the units.

          • lion

well, didnt you take devils and panthers according to your program? If yes then we see that both team lost yesterday. Anyway, I am not going to discuss with you against your program but I do not believe that odd thingi because nosense. Nobody knows how the games going to end unless if its not really fixed game but I do not believe they are exist in NHL

          • Alanson

No I just bet on the games where I write my units! I wrote here that I’m just playing one game at once, because my strategy is to raise the stake and to concentrate just on one game!
Yeah nice winnings, but I was talking about what bookies do before games start. I think there are a lot of people who just bet on favorites and this is the point where bookies can make the most money (from my opinion). I can’t verify that because I’m not a bookie and I don’t work for bookies!
But thinking further there could be a trick used by them to hold ODDs because they see a lot of people are betting on favorites.
It’s easy to understand that my programm calculates games where the teams have similiar chances to win (and it learned that by itself!). So to be fair the ML ODDs should be 2 @ team1 and 2 @ team2. But at all that’s what they never will do. They present you ODDs like 1.9 @ team 1 and 1.9 @ team2. Because there is an easy formula behind this, where they should get profit out of every bet.
And now there are those games where you have an ODD >2, but my system says they have a similiar chances to win. Spectating such situations and the progress of those ODDs (going up or down) over years gave me some feeling that things can’t be like they show you with their ODDs. Maybe I’m to deep in this things and getting kind of paranoid, but that’s what I tried to talk about. I can’t proof it and yes people who bet also have impacts on ODDs. I’m not fool, but for me it seems like there is more behind.

  • lion

I feel that Stars also will win tonight.

      Lion project 1/15 (NHL)

Back at it again, been taking a little break.

      Lion project 1/15 (NBA)
HOU Rockets @ UTA Jazz Over 203.5
      Progress 10kr>19.09kr?

I can also see that people are checking back on my spreadsheet every day, first off: Highly appriciated for the support and appriciation of my spreadsheet and second: Sorry for the break :/ But back now, stronger than ever, lets go 😀

  • chris osborn

    CBJ
    Over 5 bruins game
Habs ML, those are my 3 strong picks . Blackhawks will be in a good spot too, Panthers fired their head coach last nigjt. I’m thinking may cause some confusion?

  • Johnny Hockey

Since days I place bets on “race to 3 goals” – Went pretty good. Tonight I have:

    > Rangers @2.050
    > Sharks @1.800

  • http://www.mundodeapostas.com/ Eduardo Caldeira

It looks like I’m the only one against the hawks tonight . If toews doesn’t play they are going to struggle a lot and beware of the coach change . Could make a great impact

    Sens ML
    Jackets ML
And rest of the betnhl picks

    • Alanson

I would prefer Panthers with an ODD 2.15+. 🙂

    • BlueLineBets

Toews hasn’t been playing since Nov 23rd and the Hawks still went 3-3-1 on a 7 game road trip. Being at home makes a huge difference for this team, and for Crawford in net (1.8 GAA at home, 2.9 GAA on the road). Coaching change could influence things but I’m more inclined to think it decreases chemistry as team adjusts to changes in this first game.

Graeme and Scott – I’ve noticed what seems a large increase in games not being settled in regulation…….do you have any stats to back this up? Betting strategy linked to this?

    • BetNHL.ca

Seems to be around the norm actually. 11.7% of games going to OT which is fairly standard.

  • ThomasMuller25

What a Night it will be for Hockey fans.
I strongly believe tonight is a really good night seeing how we should get the most of them right with lesser close calls like some previous nights in which they all went OT.

Ottawa Senators win ML (Defensive Advantage +)
Edmonton Win ML (Edmonton at Home +)
Winnipeg Win ML (Winnipeg at Home +)
Chicago Win ML (The Hawks at Home +)
Bruins Win ML (Bruins looking for Road Win vs unstable Philly)
Blue Jackets Win ML (Never count the BJackets out at Home)

New York Rangers Win Regular (Bounce back from Loss and Home +)

Sharks Win by 1.5 (Bounce back from Loss at Home +)

Montreal Canadiens Win ML as an Habitants.
