The Heritage Classic was delayed thanks to sun melting the ice. But once it got underway it was the Oilers picking up their 3rd straight win 3-0
A slow start in the Wild vs Islanders game but a 5 goal second period. The Isles kept it going through the 3rd and won 6-3.
We had the Coyotes – Rangers to go over 5.5 but this didn’t come through for us when the Rangers won 3-2.
The final game of the night was the home opener for the Ducks when they welcomed the Canucks into town. The Ducks won 4-2.
Only 2 games tonight so we only have 2 tips. Let’s get to them.
Flyers vs Canadiens Betting Tips:
The Flyers are 2-2-1 so far on the year. They have been inconsistent but have shown signs of a strong team. The Habs are 4-0-1 and come into this game on a 3 game win streak. They look great so far this year and a healthy Price is going to carry them to a much better season than last.
I like Montreal to come out of this the winner but the odds are brutal for that so I’m going with Over 5. The Flyers found their offense scoring 6 times in their last game and are averaging 3.80 goals per game which is 3rd in the league. The Habs are averaging 4 per game which leads the league.
Flames vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
Both teams are off to rough starts. The Flames are 1-4-1 and are allowing 4.33 goals per game.
The Hawks are 3-3 but are 3-1 at home. Some of the Hawks struggles this year is the new faces. Their top line of Toews, Panik and Motte are still getting used to each other.
The Flames are one of, if not the, worst teams so far this season and I think Chicago will jump all over them. The Hawks have success at home so expect a strong game from them in this one. If Elliott gets the start for the Flames then it could be a blow out as he has 0-3 record and a 4.72 gaa.
