Our Blues vs Sharks series prediction got off to the right start with the St. Louis Blies picking up a tight 2-1 victory in Game 1 of the Western Conference final.
However the Sharks played a much better game and were stopped by Brian Elliott who came up big time in the 2nd period.
Lehtera was also able to snag a surprise goal after a weak turnover by Brent Burns. It’s going to be an interesting series there and the Blues are going to have to up their game.
We now turn our attention to Mondays game where the Pittsburgh Penguins have a 1 game deficit going up against Tampa. It was an interesting game 1 and a big surprise – Bishop going out you’d expect Tampa to collapse but it was just the opposite – it spurred them on.
Penguins vs Lightning Game 2 Betting Tips:
Scott: After Bishop left game 1 during the 1st period in some obvious pain to his leg, it’s unclear if he returns tonight or even at all. The tests came back negative so that’s a good sign. Lightning backup Andrei Vasilevskiy came in and made 25 saves in Tampa’s 3-1 win. I expect the Penguins to bounce back in this game. If Vasilevskiy gets the start, which seems highly likely, then they will be doing all the can to test him and even the series at 1 before the series moves to Tampa Bay
Penguins in regulation
Graeme: A lot of the focus is obviously on the goalie situation on Tampas end. What’s been overlooked is how solid Murray has been, and how well Tampa were able to get the puck past him. 3 goals in 20 shots on net is very impressive considering Murrays performances as of late.
In the regular season these teams had 3 games go over 5 goals and I like this game to pick up that trend. Both teams are capable of scoring and I’m expecting a battle with a good few goals.
