We saw three series tie up yesterday at one game apiece. In a very even game, the Utah Mammoth pulled off a big victory over the Vegas Golden Knights.
Bruins vs Sabres and Canadiens vs Lightning were bangers, and the Avs got a tight, tiiiiight win over the LA Kings.
We now move onto Wednesday April 22nd. It’s a little bit more chill with three games taking place which is nice.

Flyers vs Penguins Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: Well it’s not looking good for my pick of the Penguins to win in 6 games. The Flyers just won both in Pittsburgh and held one of the top offensive teams to zero goals in game 2.
The Flyers have frustrated the Pens and now they head how to a rabid fan base. It’s do or die now for the Pens. They are going to have their work cut out for them to not get swept. I want the Pens to win and if they are to do it then it’s tonight. I’m skipping this game.

Graeme: When I analyzed this series, I made sure to point out the Flyers defensive metrics. However my thought was that with the Penguins having home ice, and their ability to score goals against them during the regular season, that it wouldn’t be an issue.
That has proven incorrect so far. Goaltending has been good for the Flyers too.
Looking at this one – bookies have it close to a coinflip and I have to agree. If either team was over 2.00 here I’d take them. I lean on Penguins to finally figure out what’s going on and get it right. And they are solid enough on the road.
I think there’s just enough for me to go with them here. Rest assured, if this was the regular season I wouldn’t be on it. But it’s the playoffs and we get a bit more loose with what we’re backing. We have to – otherwise there’d be very few bets! Let’s see if they can figure out Vladar.

Wild vs Stars Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Stars looked better in game 2 and tied the series up at a game each.
Now that it moves to Minnesota for games 3 and 4 I do expect this series to continue to be one of the better ones. I like the Wild to win here.

Graeme: Truthfully I was ready to come here and back the Wild – just feels like yep they take this one. But then I look at the metrics and over the first two games, it’s very off-putting. I’m really seeing no reason to back the Wild.
Buuut I do think they will take it. I’m not sure if it’s just them being at home or what.
I think rather than avoid I’m going to always look for player props instead. Let’s go with Boldy 4+ SOG at 1.95 odds. Been consistent with that in the playoffs so far, was firing them in just prior to the playoffs.

Oilers vs Ducks Game 2 Betting Tips:
Scott: Oilers won game 1 4-3. They let the Ducks score 3 unanswered in the 2nd but they scored twice in the 3rd to pick up the win.
They can’t allow the Ducks to get going like they did in the first game. I’m sure they have all watched the tapes and know what they have to do to clean things up.

Graeme: I’m hesitant as all hell to back this series just due to how erratic both teams are. The over is something that is definitely appealing as you never know when these teams are going to go off. Of course we’ve seen spots like that before and it ends 1-0 etc. I’m good with treading into the over territory for at least this first one. Over 6.5 Goals incl OT
