Had the one tip yesterday of the Knights -1.5 against the Canucks. The Knights won but only by 1 winning 2-1.
The Avs beat the Blues 3-1 and clinched the Central Divison. The Canes claimed the Metropolitan Division title when they beat the Bruins 6-5 in overtime. The Jackets had a big win when they beat the Wings 4-3 in a shootout. The Flyers beat the Devils 5-1 to help their chances and eliminated the Devils. The Preds beat the Kings 5-0 and moved into 8th in the West.
Sabres vs Rangers
The Sabres just beat the Lightning so their momentum should be flying here. They now have a chance to win the Atlantic. They now get to play one of the worst teams in the league.
The Rangers have won 2 in a row but have already been eliminated. They have gone 14-19-7 at home so not exactly a strong team when playing in New York.
If the Sabres want the division then beating the last place team in the East is a good start. Would have to be in regulation but 3 of their last 8 games needed extra time and the Rangers are coming off of that huge 8-1 win over the Capitals.
Capitals vs Leafs
The Caps are part of the mess around the wild card spots in the East. They are 4-2 in last 6 but just got rocked 8-1 by the Rangers so will need to have better efforts if they want to stay in the mix.
Leafs are eliminated and at this point they need to lose as much as they can to try and keep their draft pick that is top 5 protected. If not the Bruins get it.
I want to take the Caps here but after their last game I have to pass.
Oilers vs Sharks
The Oilers played last night and lost in overtime.
The Sharks are still battling for a playoff spot. They are only 2 points behind the Kings who are in 8th place in the West.
As much as I would like to see the Sharks win here and eventually secure a playoff spot I think this is going to be a tough game with the Oilers also in a fight.
Sabres vs Rangers smells hefty amount of goals…
