Only 3 games yesterday.
The Sabres beat the Rangers 5-3 and moved into 1st place in the Atlantic. The Caps beat the Leafs 4-0 and Stolarz left the game with an injury. McDavid scored a hat trick and the Oilers beat the Sharks 5-2 and moved into 1st in the Pacific.
Have no time today. Wanted to post something in case people wanted to discuss in the comments.
Leafs vs Islanders
Not touching either team. Would lean towards the Isles who are 3 points back of the wild card and have a new coach.
Jackets vs Sabres
Jackets are in 9th and need all the points they can get. The Sabres played last night and won.
Penguins vs Devils
Penguins have won last 2 games and are in 2nd in the Metro.
The Devils have been eliminated and now take on the role of spoilers.
Lightning vs Canadiens
This is a big game.
The Lightning and Canadiens are tied in points and the win here will help determine who wins the division. This game could go either way.
Panthers vs Senators
Panthers have been eliminated and have lost 3 in a row. The Sens have won their last 2 games and are in the final wild card spot. They will have to keep winning to stay where they are as the East is tight still. But it does look like they have found another gear here beating the Canes and Lightning and putting up 6 goals in each game.
Flyers vs Wings
Another big game here.
Flyers are currently in 3rd in the Metro. The Wings are in 10th in the East and only 3 points back of the Senators.
Jets vs Blues
11th and 12th place in the West. Both teams could still make the postseason but will need all team ahead of them to lose all remaining games.
Hurricanes vs Blackhawks
The Canes are trying to stay ahead of the Lightning and Sabres to stay in top spot in the East.
The Hawks have been eliminated.
Would expect the Canes to win but so do the sportsbooks.
Wild vs Stars
This is a preview of the upcoming first round matchup. It should be a good game between the 2nd and 3rd place teams in the Central who will be playing at least another 4 games against each other this month.
Flames vs Avalanche
Flames have been eliminated.
The Avalanche have won the Central and the West. They also have a 6 point lead over the Canes for the Presidents Trophy.
Predators vs Mammoth
These teams are the two wild card teams in the West. These teams know how close the teams are that are chasing them so this should be a good game.
Sharks vs Ducks
Sharks need as many points as they can get. They are currently 3 points out of the playoffs.
The Ducks have lost 6 games in a row so I’m not touching them.
Knights vs Kraken
Knights fighting to stay where they are in the standings. The Kraken are in 13th.
Would think the Knights win this game but how they do it is anyones guess.
Canucks vs Kings
The Canucks are out so nothing to say about them. The Kings are in 9th and looking at their schedule, another game vs the Canucks one against the Kraken and another the Flames, they have a decent shot at getting into the wild card.
