5 games yesterday and my tip was a win.

I had over 6 in the Battle of Florida and the Panthers won 5-2 scoring the first 4 goals of the game.

The Ducks got back on track and beat the Rangers 4-1.  I had mentioned that the Sens vs Jets game was tough to call and it needed overtime where the Sens won 3-2.

Forsberg scored a hat trick and the Preds won 5-2 against the Blues.  The final game of the night was the Kings in Dallas to play the Stars and the Stars won 4-1.

10 games tonight.

Blackhawks vs Leafs

They played on November 15th with the Hawks winning 3-2.

Sucks seeing Hawks on a skid.  They show signs of progress and find a way to come back to earth.  Bedard is out and didn’t join the team for the road trip and will be out until at least January.

The Leafs, like the Hawks, are on a 2 game losing skid.  They are just over .500 on the season which explains why they are so far down in the standings.

I cant touch this game.  No Bedard so not taking Hawks and Leafs always find a way to shit the bed.

Canucks vs Rangers

The Rangers won 2-0 on October 28th when they last played.

Canucks looked pretty good in their first game without Hughes.  Buium looked good and for the Canucks fans maybe his play will ease some of the pain of losing such a talented player.

The Rangers played yesterday and lost to the Ducks 4-1.

I want to take the Canucks here but I need to see if it was just the one game where they played so well or if it’s the new identity.

Islanders vs Red Wings

Nope.

Flyers vs Canadiens

They played on November 4th with the Flyers winning 5-4 in a shootout.

Flyers on a 3 game skid.  But they did take all 3 to extra time and against tough teams in the Knights and twice against the Canes.

The Canadiens beat the Oilers and looked decent.  They are 2-0-1 in last 3 games and have scored 4 goals per game during this stretch.

Would lean towards the Habs after how they looked against the Oilers but with the Flyers taking their last 3 opponents to extra time I have to pass.

Ducks vs Jackets

Ducks just played yesterday and the Jackets have lost 5 in a row.  Easy pass for me.

Mammoth vs Bruins

They last played on October 19th with the Mammoth winning 3-2.

Mammoth have won last 2 games which helps as they hadn’t been good in last 10 going 4-6-0.  Losing record on the road too going 8-10-2.

Bruins are 6-4 in last 10 and had a 4 game win streak in there.  In Boston the Bruins have been good going 11-5-0.

All of the data for these teams is close with the Mammoth having a better SA/60.  Too close to call.

Oilers vs Penguins

So they just swapped goalies.  I’m not touching this game.

Capitals vs Wild

They played back on October 17th and the Caps won 5-1.

The Caps have lost their last 2 games but have still been solid in last 10 going 7-1-2.

The Wild looked great in their last game and Hughes looked incredible.  They were a decent team but Hughes is one of the best defensemen in the league and the whole team fed off of his energy.  Playing 27 minutes in your first game there is nuts.

They have had Hughes only for one game so the data won’t show it but I still think they are going to be different team.

Wild win incl OT/SO

Avalanche vs Kraken

The Avalanche are pulling away in the standings.  When they are at home they have been unreal and have now won 11 games in a row in Colorado.  They are 1st in GPG, GAPG, SOG and penalty kill.

The Kraken have lost their last 2 games and are 2-7-1 in last 10.  They are 7-6-3 in Seattle.  They rank last in the league in GPG so not exactly a recipe for success.

I like the Avalanche here but so does the sportsbooks.  Avs -1.5 on the road doesnt pay out enough for me.

Flames vs Sharks

They last played on November 13th with the Flames winning 2-0.

Flames playing pretty well going 4-1-0 over last 5 games.

The Sharks have won 2 in a row against the Leafs and the Penguins but both required overtime.

This is a game I could see going either way.

The usual staying away from sides… don’t know what it is this season so far??
That Minnesota, Washington game will be one of the better games of the night I think…

Strong leans
NYR/VAN – NGf5 / u6.5
PHI – TT o2.5
CHI/TOR – NGf5 / u6.5
COL/SEA – o5.5

Leans wont take
BOS/UTA – o6.0
EDM/PIT – o6.0 (goalie revenge something to prove duel???)
MIN/WAS – u6.5 / NGf5 (great goalies but great offence? (WAS)

I suck at sides this season
CGY – ml
ANA – ml (b2b )
Min – ml

Avelino Fonseca

Tks for the tips. Great jog.

SDBruins

Bruins home dogs when Pasta and McAvoy return to the line-up? That’s like hitting the trade jackpot. Bruins easy pick

I parlayed Minnesota +1.5 with a basketball pick of San Antonio (NBA) at an increased + spread. San Antonio is playing great these days and could easily win tonight.

Not taking the Oilers/Pitts game because it’s a statement game and while I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an Over game, it’s going to be a goalie showdown at the OK Corral and I’m expecting Jarry to wipe the floor with Skinner, and the Oilers offense to show up full power, but the adrenaline will be high and perhaps (?) the Pens can do something, I don’t know. I hate the Pens management, not the players. Only a total loser GM would look at Skinner and take him in a trade, thinking it could be an improvement over any AHL or bantam goalie.

Minnesota is going to be a team to watch. They were already stacked with potential, are 19-9-5 with a goal differential of +12, so with the Quinnmeister in the roster they may go on a serious winning streak and more power to ’em! I expect them to solidify their playoff position by separating from the pack within the next month. Hughes provides a unique capacity to make offensive efforts more fluid, penetrating through the blue line and multi-talented, which will be a major threat against other teams.
