5 games yesterday and a few upsets.

The Pens beat the Flyers 5-1 with Crosby scoring twice.  The Jackets beat the Devils 5-3 snapping their losing skid at 4 games.

The Sabres beat the Jets 5-1 with Norris scoring twice in his return from injury.  The Ducks beat the Blues 4-1 ending their point streak at 3 games.

10 games scheduled for tonight.

Bruins vs Red Wings

These teams last game was against each other on Saturday with the Bruins winning 3-2 in a shootout.

Bruins trading wins and losses going 5-5 in last 10.  The Wings are on a 4 game skid and are 4-4-2 last 10.

Tough to pick a winner here.

Senators vs Canadiens

Nice game between two rivals.  They played back on November 1st with the Habs winning 4-3 in overtime.

The Sens have lost their last 2 games and are 5-4-1 last 10 and 6-6-2 on the road.

The Canadiens lost to the Avalanche 7-2 in their last game but had 3 wins in a row before beating the Knights, Mammoth and the Leafs. They are 6-5-1 at home.

Close game for Corsi, SF/60 and SA/60.  So can’t pick a winner and the numbers don’t back an over play so I’m passing.

Lightning vs Islanders

Lightning on fire at the moment winning 7 games in a row.  8-2-0 in last 10 and 8-2-2 in the road.

Not much left to say about the Isles that Graeme hasn’t already.  They have lost 3 in a row and are 5-6-2 at home.

The numbers for this game are actually closer than I expected so it’s a pass.

Stars vs Rangers

Stars are again on a win streak and this one is currently at 4 games.  They are 8-1-1 in last 10 and 9-1-3 on the road.

The Rangers are in 7th in the Metro, are 5-5 in last 10 and have wasted playing on home ice going 2-8-1 there.

Stars are ranked 3rd in GPG and 7th in GAPG.  The Rangers are 28th in GPG and surprisingly 4th in GAPG.

The Rangers have better CF numbers but that’s about it.  The Stars are better in SF, SA, GF and GA.

Stars win incl OT/SO

Leafs vs Panthers

The Leafs won their last game but are 3-5-2 in last 10.  On the road they have gone 3-7-0.

The Panthers have lost 2 in a row and are 5-5 in last 10 and 8-5-1 at home.

Really not much i like here as ita the 6th and 7th place teams from the Atlantic and either has shown me any reason to back them at the moment.

Flames vs Predators

Nothing here.  They played on November 1st with the Preds winning that one 4-2.

Flames are in 8th in the Pacific and Preds in 8th in the Central.

Canucks vs Avalanche

Last played on November 9th with the Avs winning 5-4 in OT.

Canucks are a mess right now.  They have gone 2-5-3 in last 10, have lost 2 in a row and on the road they’ve gone 7-6-2.

The Avalanche are in 1st place overall.  They have gone 9-0-1 in last 10 and an amazing 10-0-2 at home.  They are ranked 1st in GPG, SOG and GAPG.

Avs huge favourites here and taking them -1.5 is only around 1.80 so it’s just not worth it.

Wild vs Oilers

The Wild lost their last game but are 8-0-2 in last 10.  On the road they have gone 6-4-1.  5 of their last 7 games needed extra time which is something that puts me off of tipping for or against them.

The Oilers are 11-10-5 this season which has them in 6th place in the Pacific.  At home they have gone 5-2-2 which, for them, is good considering their record.

The Oilers haven’t had a good season to date and I want to take the Wild here but its their use of extra time of late which has me passing.

Blackhawks vs Knights

The Hawks have to have some momentum on their side after coming back to beat the Ducks after being down by 3 goals.  On the road they are 5-4-2.

The Knights are 4-2-4 in last 10 which isn’t what this team is capable of.  At home they have gone 6-4-4 and that’s also low for this team.

The Knights are the heavy favourites here and taking them -1.5 is only around 1.90

Capitals vs Kings

They just played on November 17th with the Caps winning 2-1.

The Caps are on a 4 game win streak, are 7-2-1 in last 10 and on the road they have gone 6-4-1.

The Kings are 6-1-3 in last 10 and they have gone 3-4-3 at home.  Strange when you see teams have much more success away from home but as a road team the Kings are 9-2-4.

Caps have better numbers in GF/60 but Kings better in GA/60.  CF is about tied, CA is the Kings, SF/60 is Caps, SA/60 is the Kings.  Yeah it’s just so back and forth that I can’t pick a winner here

Tough going through each game to only have 1 tip but that’s it for today.

Panthers-Leafs should be over, some other opinions?thanks

Jores

for some reason I think the Canucks will upset

3 key forwards might be out due to illness for the hosts and their first game was an overtime

anderson

if you watch or follow games that has 2 to 4 games since 2 yrs now under dog always win , it fix

Florida Panthers -155 (moneyline)

DeNapos

Boston +1.5 at -162

I’m assuming Swayman starts for Boston. If he doesn’t then I’m not a fan of the play. I think Boston could potentially win this game outright, but I like the additional insurance of them being able to keep it close.

Tampa Bay/ New York Islanders UNDER 6.5 at -135

I’m assuming Vasilevskiy starts for Tampa. Sorokin has already been confirmed, and if I can get a Vasilevskiy vs Sorokin goaltender matchup, 7 goals might be too high of a number with the way they’ve both been playing.

Big v

Just quickly scrolling the board and seeing the odds / win / loss records / streaks, I don’t know how Tampa and Dallas aren’t an auto bet.

Also Washington, and the Leafs have some momentum. I find betting hockey is a lot like picking stocks.. you don’t want to jump on a team at the top of the market , catching them on the uptick is the way to go. Stars and the bolts have been that trending stock for me as of late just hoping the win streaks don’t end tonight 🤞🏻

I like the stock analogy … you almost have to be a contrarian with betting just like stock picks cause trends do end but when and how does the data support tht??…
