10 games yesterday
Had Stars to win in regulation against the Jets but they needed overtime.
The Sens won their 4th in a row and snapped the Pens win streak at 6 when they won 3-2. Caps moved closer to the Isles when they beat them 4-1. Sabres won a crucial one beating the Panthers 5-3. The Wings beat the Avs 2-0 and the Leafs beat the Flames 4-2.
7 games scheduled for tonight. With the Olympic Break starting on Friday it’s getting tougher to get a read on the teams and their effort level.
Senators vs Hurricanes
Last played on January 24th with the Canes winning 4-1.
Sens played yesterday.
The Canes are in 1st in the Metro. They have gone 6-1-3 in last 10 and have been real good at home going 20-8-2. After this game they play the Rangers on Thursday before the break.
With the Canes last 2 games needing overtime I’m passing here.
Capitals vs Flyers
Caps played yesterday.
The Flyers just aren’t a team I can trust at the moment. They have lost 4 in a row and have gone 2-6-2 last 10.
With Caps just playing and Flyers on a skid it’s a pass.
Jackets vs Devils
Last played on December 31st with Devils winning 3-2.
Jackets are on fire winning 5 in a row and are 9-1-0 last 10. Not the strongest road record though going 13-12-3. They have gone 5-7-3 against teams from the Metro.
Devils are a tough team to back. They are in 17th in the Eastern Conference and will have to turn things around to get back into playoff contention.
Jackets are better in CF, SF, GF, GA and XGF.

They are in 1st in the Atlantic but the Canes have the same number of points just with 2 extra games played.
Leafs vs Oilers
Last played on December 13th with the Oilers winning 6-3
Leafs played yesterday.
The Oilers are in 2nd in the Pacific. They have the same number of points as the division leading Knights but have played an extra game.
Not taking Leafs as they just played and the Oilers play again tomorrow in the Battle of Alberta so I’m not sure how they will treat this game to save energy for tomorrow.
Kraken vs Ducks
Last played on January 23rd and Ducks won that 4-2. Big game here.
Kraken are playing well winning 4 in a row and have gone 11-5-1 against Pacific Division teams. They are in 3rd in the Pacific with 61 points.
The Ducks are 8-2-0 in last 10 and 9-7-0 against teams from the Pacific. They are in 4th in the Pacific with 61 points. They have played one game more than the Kraken so could move into 3rd with a win here.
The Ducks are favored and if taking them it would have to be in at least regulation.
