There was 10 games yesterday and almost all games had one team who had played the night before.
The Habs had a 2-0 lead heading into the 3rd but the Caps scored twice to tie it and force OT where they won 3-2. McDavid pushed his point streak to 20 games when the Oilers lost 4-3 in overtime to the Preds. The Bruins had another shutout this time a 2-0 against the Wings.
The Jackets won their first game with Bowness as head coach beating the Flames 5-3. The Mammoth pounded the Leafs 6-1 and the Lightning won their 11th in a row beating the Pens 2-1 in a shootout.
A slower night with only 4 games.
Kraken vs Devils
Kraken are 3-1-1 in last 5 and 7-1-2 in last 10. They have gone 11-8-3 on the road.
The Devils are 1-4-0 in last 5 and 3-6-1 in their last 10. At home they are 11-8-2.
Looking at the records for both teams based on where they are playing and it’s really close.
The Kraken have had the better season so far but the Devils are at home so I’m passing.
Senators vs Rangers
Easy pass here for many reasons.
Flyers vs Sabres
Last played on December 18th with the Sabres winning 5-3.
The Flyers are a tough team to try and predict. They’ll have games where they look like they could one of the top in the league and then they will be on a 3 game losing skid like they are right now.
The Sabres are 8-2 in last 10 and 14-6-2 at home. They are higher ranked in GPG but the Flyers are better in GAPG.
This should be a close game here and both teams have 52 points which only helps that statement.
Knights vs Kings
The Knights have always been a team to watch out for this season and in years past but it’s always the health of the team that has been the issue. They have won 4 in a row and are in 1st in the Pacific. On the road they’ve gone 11-5-6
The Kings haven’t been great at home going 7-10-5. On the road they are a different team going 12-6-5. They are in 5th in the Pacific and only 6 points behind the Knights.
Going to have a look at the numbers here and see if there is a play. I want to take the Knights with the Kings play so bad at home but the numbers just aren’t there. They do have better GF and GA numbers but just barely and it’s not enough to make it a tip.
