Been a busy week of hockey and I expect it’s going to continue up until the break.

It’s where a few teams will hopefully stand out – the ones that can handle this sort of schedule and really show their mettle. Might be a good idea to look at who it is that can handle this come the playoffs.

It’s a busy Thursday with ten games and a couple of B2Bs.

Write-ups will be short due to time constraints.

Sabres vs Canadiens

Sabres on a B2B but playing very well. Tight game, no play. Odds seem right.

Capitals vs Sharks

I like the over here looking at the metrics. GF60s of 3.52 and 3.64, GA/60 of 3.03 and 4.33 over last 10. xGs quite close to that.

Sharks generally competitive in high scoring games even on the road. Capitals definitely a little bit quieter lately but hopefully this game gets them both going.

Went over last time they played. Hopefully Celebrini ending his streak doesn’t result in a cold run.

Penguins vs Flyers

Penguins come in struggling. As do the Flyers. Neither tem I am rushing out to back – especially when it’s an ice cold offense like Pittsburgh. And to think we were looking forward to Malkin being back.

No play. By the data it’s a Pens win – in regulation probably isn’t horrific either but i can’t back this offense.

Blue Jackets vs Canucks

As bad as the Canucks are I don’t really have the confidence in the Jackets at regulation here. I can certainly see it and the data backs it up but I don’t love it myself. A lot rides on the Canucks offense continuing to stink at finishing as they certainly create the chances.

One of those plays I’m definitely not against, and it might sit in my head for a bit before I place a late play.

Bruins vs Kraken

Bruins on a tear hoping to avenge their January 6th loss. It’s a little bit too close for comfort for me, and the metrics aren’t backing it anyway so no play.

Wild vs Jets

Jets coming in on a nice win streak. I ain’t backing against them here. Data is very close anyway with a very slight lean towards WIld but not enough to back them at these odds.

Blackhawks vs Flames

Ooof this one feels like it could go either way doesn’t it? I’d certainly lean the Hawks, but it’s a tight one.

Oilers vs Islanders

Oilers I like but it’d have to be in regulation and it’s not enough of a slam dunk for me. Islanders are a competitive team.

Mammoth vs Stars

Bookies have this as coinflip. Based on the data I think it’s a light lean towards the Mammoth. They look happy to be at home. Dallas might be a team where the schedule is starting to catch up to them. Of course they might bounce back after that Ducks game with at least a day of rest.

Think there is enough here to go with Mammoth win incl OT/SO and hope if it’s Oettinger, he doesn’t play as well as he did against the Kings.

Everyone Else: 1.90 Odds at 888 Sports.

Knights vs Leafs

No clue on this one looking at the data. Both teams look good for it.
