1-1 yesterday.
My fears about the Caps offense yesterday may be a reality, as they were cold yesterday and that affected the game. Could be the beginning of a slump, so something to keep an eye out for.
Mammoth got the win thankfully. Tight one and Oettinger played well, but so did Vejmelka and got us the win.
Pens got the regulation win as the data expected, and nice to see their offense come back. Jackets ran out winners on the Canucks. Jets continued their streak, and “Fuck the Islanders” continued as they overcame the data to shut out the Oilers.
Let’s see Friday.
Red Wings vs Sharks
Red Wings coming off the big Bruins loss. Sharks on a B2B.
Wings at home where they have been great this season. I tell you – I personally like this play. But the metrics just aren’t there at all. Sharks have some scary offensive metrics, and Wings have relied a lot on goaltending.
I just can’t advise based on the data. McLellan has also been making quite a few changs to the lines and not sure if he has it cracked yet. I do love seeing quotes from JVR about the chemistry on that power play unit etc.
This is 100% a bet I will be making on my own, but the data is so against it I can’t even go with it here with that disclaimer.
Hurricanes vs Panthers
Wheels falling off the bus in Carolina again? I don’t have the confidence in them just quite yet.
Blues vs Lightning
Tampa in regulation feels a bit of a trap spot. They have been on the road a lot lately and while they blew the Blues away on the 22nd I’m a bit gun-shy here.
FWIW, data says a regulation play is fine.
Avalanche vs Predators
I like the Avs here but at the odds would have to be -1.5 and the data doesn’t back that up. It’s close though.
Kings vs Ducks
Yeah I am good backing neither team here. Not seeing anything in the metrics.
