8 games yesterday.
I had the one tip of the Bruins to beat the Stars but the Stars ended their losing skid at 3 games and snapped the Bruins win streak at 6 when they won 6-2.
Caufield scored with 15 seconds left to give the Habs the 4-3 win against the Wild, Lightning picked up another win this time 4-1 against the Sharks and the Kings beat the Rangers 4-3 but Kuemper left the game with an upper-body injury.
Slower night with only 6 games. No complaints from me.
Wings vs Leafs
They just played at the end of last month with the Wings winning 3-2 in overtime.
The Wings are 7-2-1 in last 10, 12-8-3 on the road, on a 2 game win streak and are 9-4-2 against Atlantic Divison teams. 3 of their last 9 needed extra time.
The Leafs are 6-2-2 in last 10, 16-6-5 at home and against Atlantic teams they haven’t been great going 6-6-2. Of their 10 games this month 5 have needed extra time which I don’t like.
I’m just not seeing an advantage here enough to find a tip.
Ducks vs Avalanche
The Ducks are 4-5-1 in last 10 and have won 4 in a row. On the road they haven’t been good going 10-13-2.
The Avalanche are a machine. They are 6-3-1 in last 10 and at home they are by far the best home team in the league going 20-1-3.
I’m not going to bet against the Avalanche anytime soon. Even a Puck Line play for them is just over our minimum so it’s not worth it.
Flyers vs Mammoth
Flyers are 3-6-1 in last 10 and 11-9-3 on the road. They rank 22nd in GPG and 16th in GAPG.
The Mammoth have won their last 3 games and are 7-2-1 in last 10 and are 14-7-2 at home. They rank 17th in GPG and 5th in GAPG.
The Mammoth do rank better in goals for and against but let’s check the other stats. CF is on their side but CA isn’t. I would like them to have a better advantage across the board since this would have to be a regulation play so I’m passing.
Penguins vs Flames
Just played each other in January 10th with the Flames winning that one 2-1.
Pens have been playing well this season. They are in 3rd in the Metro, are 6-2-2 in last 10 and 12-7-4 on the road.
The Flames have gone 4-5-1 in last 10, 13-7-3 at home and currently sit in 7th in the Pacific. Just not a team I like to tip.
The Penguins have had so many games go to overtime this season that they are a hard team to back.
Islanders vs Kraken
Nothing here.
Capitals vs Canucks
The Caps are a mess right now. They are 3-6-1 and on a 3 game skid.
The Canucks are much, much worse than the Caps. They have lost 11 games in a row.
Obviously can’t trust either team right now.
No bets, because with the inconsistencies in these matchups and situations. I might Lean for a Calgary win. The Leafs I never bet their games, the Caps are a mess, I agree with Scott, and it appears the Avs are now pacing themselves and constant wins are not assured. It’s also Wednesday. Maybe the NBA or NCAAB.
