Glad I avoided the Leafs yesterday as the Sabres won 7-4. Jets got back in the win column beating the Devils 4-2 and they now head to Florida for a couple games. Habs grabbed a big win against the Knights.
Kings beat the Wings 3-1 for another road win. Celebrini had 4 points when the Sharls beat the Canucks 5-2 and the Wild beat the Hawks 4-3 in a shootout.
Only 3 games today.
Rangers vs Islanders
Big game here between two rivals.
The Rangers are in 8th place in the Metro so I wouldn’t expect much from them. They already told their fans that they are in a “retooling”.
The Islanders are in 3rd in the Metro. They have gone 5-4-1 in last 10 and are 14-9-2 at home. They just traded for Palat so he will help them with all of his experience.
I’m passing for obvious reasons.
Flyers vs Jackets
Man the Flyers continue to be a pain in the ass. They kick the shit out of the Avalanche to follow that up getting shutout 4-0 to the Isles.
The Jackets have won their last 2 games shutting out the Stars 1-0 and then beating the Lightning 8-5.
With the teams they beat and how they beat them I do like the Jackets here. They are better in CF/60, FF, SF, GF and XGF so there’s enough to make them a play.

Avalanche vs Senators
Last played on January 8th with the Avalanche pounding the Sens 8-2.
The Avs are in a bit of a surprising funk going 4-4-2 in last 10. They are still in 1st in the West and the league but it’s just strange to see them playing normal.
The Sens are also 4-4-2 in last 10 and have gone 12-10-4 at home.
Despite these teams having the same record over the last 10 games I do like the Avalanche here and so do the sportsbooks.
