5 games yesterday and I had the one tip.
Had the Flames to beat the Kraken. The Flames scored first but it was all Kraken after that.
The Mammoth beat the Rangers 3-2 in OT but the Rangers also lost Shesterkin in the 2nd period after a collision with a Mammoth player. Caps beat the Ducks 7-4 which was the Ducks 6th straight loss.
Wings ended their 2 game losing skid and stopped the Sens win streak at 2 when they won 5-3.
10 games tonight. It’s wild to think that we are at the halfway point of the season.
Canucks vs Sabres
Last played on December 11th with the Sabres winning 3-2.
The Canucks are on a 2 game skid so not a fan of them at the moment.
The Sabres just had their win streak snapped at 10 games by the Jackets. I want to see how they respsond in the first game since before going with them.
Stars vs Hurricanes
They last played back on October 25th with the Stars winning 3-2.
Stars are struggling losing their last 5 games. And it’s not like they were against tough teams losing to the Sabres, during their win streak, the Wings, the Habs and twice to the Hawks. But 3 of these losses came in extra time.
The Canes haven’t been great in their last 10 either. They are 4-5-1 and just snapped a 3 game skid of their own.
Would prefer taking a team who has been playing well of late and these teams aren’t doing that.
Avalanche vs Lightning
This should be a good game. They last played on November 4th with the Avalanche winning that one 3-2.
The Avalanche had their 10 game win streak snapped in their last game. The last time they had a win streak like that snapped they responded with a win.
But this time they play the Lightning who are on fire winning 7 in a row. So I could make a case for each team here. The Avalanche are, and have been, a machine all season. The Lightning are at home and riding a 7 game streak. Can’t touch the Over here either as despite both being ranked so highly in GPG, Lightning 2nd and Avs 1st, they are both also ranked well in GAPG, Avs 1st and Lightning 4th.
Ducks vs Flyers
Ducks played yesterday still on this skid which has now reached 6 games.
The Flyers are playing better and are now in 3rd in the Metro. They also have been playing well at home going 11-5-4.
I have to avoid the Ducks but lets see it the metrics for the Flyers make them a play. The GF/60 and GA/60 numbers are on the Flyers side but it would need to be Flyers in regulation and there isn’t enough there for me.
Devils vs Islanders
Easy pass here.
Panthers vs Leafs
Panthers lost the Winter Classic but answered that by beating the best team in the league.
The Leafs have Matthews scoring but now have to deal with their top scorer Nylander going on the IR.
The Panthers haven’t been great on the road going 8-7-0. The Leafs have been good at home going 14-5-5.
I want to take the Leafs here but the numbers don’t support it enough.
Knights vs Jets
The Knights are unbackable for me roght now. They have lost 5 games in a row and are 2-5-3 in last 10.
Stanley is out serving his one game suspension for sucker punching Tkachuk. I dont think it will make a difference though as the Jets are playing worse than the Knights are losing 9 in a row.
It’s a pass here.
Predators vs Oilers
Predators are playing well and are now in 4th in the stacked Central. They are tied with the Blues but still have a pile of ground to gain to get back to the top 3.
The Oilers have lost their last 2 games and are 5-5-0 in last 10. They are at home where they have been decent and need to take advantage.
The Preds are better in Corsi, Fenwick, SF is even, SA is Preds as is GA/60. I think there’s enough and the odds help too.

Jackets vs Sharks
The Jackets are 3-1-1 in last 5 but 5-4-1 in last 10. They are in last place in the Metro Division.
The Sharks are 3-2 in last 5 and 6-4-0 in last 10.
Just not seeing anything I like enough to make a tip here.
Bruins vs Kraken
The Bruins are 3-5-2 in last 10 so not exactly a team giving me any confidence at the moment.
The Kraken just played yesterday so this is a pass
