6 games yesterday.

The Sens beat the Sharks for a big win and move to 3 points back of the wild card, Jets beat the Blues 3-2,  the Ducks beat the Habs 4-3 and moved back into 1st in the Pacific.

The Leafs had a 3-0 lead almost blew it but held on to beat the Wild 4-2 after scoring an empty netter.  The Kraken beat the Panthers 6-2 and the Oilers beat the Preds 3-1.

5 games scheduled for tonight.

Flames vs Wings

Can’t back the Flames who are out of the playoff picture and with the season they have had.  On the road they have gone 10-21-3.

The Wings are in the final wild card spot but on a 3 game losing skid.  They aren’t far back of the top 3 teams in the Atlantic but going 3-5-2 in last 10 isn’t helping them.

I would lean towards the Wings here but they are on a 3 game skid which has me worried.

Bruins vs Devils

The Bruins are in the first wild card spot and are 5-3-2 last 10.  3 of their last 4 games went to extra time.  On the road they have a losing record going 12-14-5.

The Devils are in 14th in the East and aren’t a team that I see as a trustable play.  At home they have gone 17-15-2.

I want to take the Bruins but their road play has put me off of them.

Kings vs Rangers

The Kings are out of the playoff picture and sit in 10th.  Going 4-5-1 in last 10 has led them to where they are.  Looking at their record for the rest of the season and the play more at home than they do on the road which isn’t good for them.  On the road they have gone 17-9-8.  This will be the first game back in New York since the trade for Panarin.

The Rangers are in last place in the Eastern Conference.  They are a team that I won’t be backing for the rest of the season.  Even with the terrible record they are on a 4 game win streak.

The Kings need points and they are on the road where they have had more success than at home and they are playing one of the worst teams in the league.  If they’re a playoff team than they have to win this game.

Kings win incl OT/SO

Mammoth vs Stars

The Mammoth are in the first wild card spot and thats really all they can hope for at this point.  The Centrals 3rd place team, the Wild, are points ahead of them.

The Stars are in 2nd in the Central and on a 4 game win streak and are 9-0-1 in last 10.  At home they have gone 22-7-4.  They are only 2 points back of the Avalanche who are the top team in the league

Would lean towards the Stars but it would have to be in regulation and they have had 3 of their last 5 games go to overtime.

Penguins vs Avalanche

Penguins are in 2nd in the Metro but and are tied for points with the 3rd place Isles who have played one more game than the Pens.  Good news for them is that Malkin is back after his suspension.

The Avalanche are still in 1st place overall but the Stars are only 3 points behind them.  They have gone 7-3-0 in last 10 and are an incredible 23-5-4 at home.

Obviously would lean towards the Avalanche and it would have to be the -1.5 but 2 of their last 3 wins needed extra time which has me off of this.
