Only the one game yesterday.
15 games today and I am going to post these the night before so I don’t have to get up at like 4 am. The odds were correct when I posted them but may have changed by the time you see these so check to make sure.
Blackhawks vs Islanders
Islanders are in the final wild card spot but have only a 1 point lead over the Wings. When they are playing a team like the Hawks they have to win or it’s a missed opportunity.
Only problem if taking the Isles is that 5 of the Hawks last 8 games needed extra time which makes them a tough team to predict.
The Isles playoffs lives are on the line here. If they are a playoff team then they win this game.

Senators vs Wings
The Senators played yesterday.
Wings are in 9th and need the points.
I could see this game go either way so I’m passing.
Leafs vs Bruins
Not touching Leafs.
Bruins are in the 1st wild card spot and need to keep winning to stay there. They have won 2 in a row but before that they had 3 games straight go to extra time.
Would lean towards the Bruins but it’s the overtime games of late that has me worried.
Avalanche vs Penguins
The Avalanche are still in 1st place overall. They have won their last 2 games but have had 2 of their last 3 go to extra time.
The Penguins are 4-3-3 in last 10 and are in 2nd in Metro. They have a slight lead over the Jackets and Isles so this is a crucial game for them.
Have to pass with Avs need of extra time and Pens need of points.
Kraken vs Panthers
Nothing here.
Jackets vs Flyers
Jackets are in 3rd in Metro and are only 1 point back of the Pens and are tied with the Islanders who have played an extra game than they have and are in 8th.
The Flyers are in 11th in the East and are 5 points back of the wild card. They have won 3 in a row and will have to keep that up to stay in the picture.
Tough to call a winner here.
Hurricanes vs Canadiens
Canes in 1st in the Metro and should be clinching a spot any day now. They have won 3 in a row.
The Habs are in 3rd in the Atlantic but still have work to do. They are 4 back of the Lightning and are tied with the Bruins but hold a game in hand. If they go on a skid they will quickly see themselves on the outside of the playoff picture.
Last 4 games for Canes had goal totals of 6, 7, 11 and 6. Last 4 for the Habs 10, 4, 5 and 7. Canes ranked 4th in GPG and the Habs 3rd. They last played on January 1st and the Canadiens won that 7-5.

Wild vs Lightning
This is going to be a good game.
I just cant pick a winner. The Lightning have 91 points and are in 2nd in the Atlantic and the Wild have 92 points and are in 3rd in the Central.
Knights vs Jets
Knights are in 2nd in the Pacific but have only a 1 point lead over the 3rd place Oilers.
The Jets are a team that I can’t get a read on. They snapped their losing streak at 3 games but it was in a shootout against the worst team in the East. 3 of their last 4 games have gone to a shootout which makes them a tough team to back.
Knights need the win and the Jets have a bunch of recent overtime.
Capitals vs Blues
The Caps are coming off an overtime loss to the Avalanche. They are in 12th in the East and need to win as often as possible and hope the teams ahead of them lose.
Blues are 7-1-2 last 10 and are in 13th in the Western Conference. Not a team I’m backing despite their solid play of late.
Devils vs Stars
Devils are in 13th in the East but have still gone 7-3-0 in last 10
The Stars have clinched a playoff spot. They are on a 2 game skid and have gone 6-2-2 last 10.
With the Devils playing well I could see them giving the Stars a game here.
Sharks vs Predators
Sharks are fighting to get in the playoffs. They are on a 4 game skid and are in 11th and 5 points out. If they can get there they are a scary team to face with all the youth they have on their team.
Preds are on a 4 game win streak but two of those wins came in overtime, one against the Hawks and the other the Jets.
Have to skip.
Kings vs Flames
Pass here.
Oilers vs Mammoth
Oilers are in 3rd in the Pacific and are only 1 point behind the Knights and 4 ahead of the Kings.
The Mammoth are in the 1st wild spot. For them to move anywhere up in the standings they would have to catch the Wild who are 12 points ahead of them.
Another game that could go either way.
Ducks vs Canucks
Ducks are in 1st in the Pacific and can extend their lead with a win here. Not a fan of their road record of 16-17-2.
Canucks last place overall so not much to say about them.
I like the Ducks here but with their road record I’m staying away.
