Sorry for no tips the last couple days.  It’s been busy for both of us.

The trade deadline was yesterday and some big moves happened.

The Caps traded John Carlson to the Ducks in a huge trade as he’s been a big part of the Caps for 17 years.  The Isles brought in Brayden Schenn, Corey Perry got traded, as he always does at the deadline, as he rejoined the Lightning.  The Wild got Nick Foligno who joins his brother Marcus, the Sabres brought in a couple defensemen to strengthen an already strong crew, Leafs traded McMann to the Kraken and Laughton to the Kings

A bunch of games today as it’s a usual Saturday.  Pressed for time to write it all out but did look through all the usual info.

Caps vs Bruins

With the Caps trading Carlson it seems like they are throwing in the towel on the season.  They are in 11th in the Eastern Conference.

The Bruins are in 8th in the East and have a 1 point lead over the 9th place Jackets so they need all point they can get.  They are 23-8-1 at home. Caps are 12-14-4 on the road.

Bruins win incl OT/SO

Rangers vs Devils

Rangers in last place in East.

Devils in 14th.

Pass.

Predators vs Sabres

The Predators are in 11th in the West and didn’t make any moves to help themselves.

The Sabres made some moves which they will need to stay where they are.  They are currently in 2nd place in the Atlantic tied for points with the Lightning but have played 2 more games than them.

With Sabres on a 5 game streak I do like them here.  At home they are 18-8-3 and on the road the Preds are 11-13-5

Sabres in regulation

Flyers vs Penguins

Flyers are in 12th and are 4-4-2 last 10

Penguins in 2nd in the Metro but have lost last 2 games and will be without Crosby and Malkin.

Pass.

Mammoth vs Jackets

Mammoth in the wild card and have won last 2 games.  They brought in Weegar to help on defense.

The Jackets have won 3 in a row and are in 9th in the East.  They are 8-1-1 in last 10 and 17-8-5 at home.

Big two points for both teams here.

Lightning vs Leafs

The Lightning are in 1st in the Atlantic but the Sabres have the same number of points but the Lightning have two games in hand.  They have lost 4 in a row.

Leafs are a mess right now and I wont be touching them until they sort things out.

Canadiens vs Kings

Habs are in first wild card spot but are 5-3-2 in last 10.

Kings are in 10th in the West but are 10-14-7 at home.

Can’t back Habs with their play of late and same for the Kings with their home record.

Canucks vs Jets

Easy pass

Hurricanes vs Flames

The Canes are in 1st place in the Metro and played last night.

The Flames are in 15th in the West.

Islanders vs Sharks

Another pass.

Senators vs Kraken

The Sens brought in Foegele and sit in 10th in the East.

The Kraken brought in McMann from the Leafs to add some depth.

Both teams fighting to get in so I have to pass as I have no idea who wins here.

Guys, would you think Dallas will win it? Ooor Sabres as well maybe? I know both Lightning and Sabres played yesterday but still I think Sabres have an edge. Blackhawks played yesterday and home-away comparison also backs Dallas just like the current form. Puck line as well maybe? -1.5
