Big game yesterday between two of the top teams in the Central and it was a fitting end when the Avalanche won but they needed a shootout to beat the Wild 3-2. The Bruins were up 3-0 but the Penguins came back to tie it and won 5-4 in OT.
The Sabres were up 3-0 against the Lightning but managed to blow the lead, they ended up winning what turned out to be a crazy game 8-7. The Stars beat the Hawks 4-3 in OT, Wings shutout the Devils 3-0, the Ducks were shutout by the Blues 4-0 and the Oilers beat the Knights 4-2.

Kings vs Jackets
The Kings are in 10th in the West and are only 3 points back of the Kraken who are in 8th. They haven’t been great in last 10 going 3-6-1.
The Jackets are in 9th and close enough that they can catch and pass the teams in the wild card. They have gone 7-1-2 in last 10.
Both teams need these 2 points and they both know this which should make this a good game.
Flames vs Capitals
The Flames are in 14th in the West and 10 points back of the 8th place Kraken. The have 20 games left but with the teams in front of them it’s going to be a fight.
The Caps are in 12th in the East and are on a 3 game losing skid. They still have a shot at making the playoffs but after they traded Carlson it’s tough to see them doing it.
Can’t back either team right now.
Rangers vs Flyers
Both teams are out of the playoff picture. The Flyers are in 11th and still have a shot but the Rangers are in last place in the East.
Tough to back either team here. I guess the Flyers would be the smart pick with how their season has gone but still a tough call to make. 3 of their last 5 games went to extra time including a game against the Rangers.
Mammoth vs Blackhawks
The Mammoth are 6-4 in last 10 and have won their last 3 games. They are in 7th in the West. They won’t be able to catch the Wild who are in 3rd in the Central and 12 points in front of them and playing well.
The Hawks know they aren’t making the playoffs and moved what they could at the deadline including their captain. They played yesterday.
I do like the Mammoth but their road record is 16-15-2 which isn’t convincing enough for me.
Senators vs Canucks
The Sens are playing well winning their last 2 games and are 7-1-2 in last 10. They are currently in 10th.
The Canucks are in last place in the Western Conference and the league. There really isn’t much to say about the Canucks. They have had a terrible year.
The Sens need all the points they can get and playing a team like the Canucks they need to win.
Sens are 17-12-4 on the road and the Canucks are 6-19-5 at home.
