The Carolina Hurricanes followed up their sweep of the Ottawa Senators, with a sweep of the Philadalphia Flyers.
We called that series correctly. At times it wasn’t easy for the Canes, but they now have a nice little rest (which isn’t always good of course!) before the next round.
The Minnesota Wild turned their series on its head with a big 5-1 victory at home to the Avs. They will be looking for similar in the next one, because tieing that series up would be huge.
Today we have the Habs vs Sabres Game 3, and Ducks vs Knights Game 4.
Canadiens vs Sabres Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Habs bounced back in game 2 and picked up a big 5-1 win. Their secondary scoring has been a huge part of their success.
With games 3 and 4 now in Montreal the chants of “Ole” are going to be loud and proud.

Graeme: I’m not fully sold on the Habs, but I think the price of about 1.83 is nice. They’ve got momentum, they’re at home, which in theory you’d back. However I’m a bit concerned with how they have performed at home in the playoffs so far.
I don’t have the guts to take the Sabres here though. I’m going to go with a player prop based on advanced metrics for the Habs at home. Based on those I’ll take Demidov to get at least a point.
Ducks vs Knights Game 4 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Knights are up in the series 2-1. Marner had the hat trick and should quiet all of his critics.
Knights flexed their offense in game 3 so is it the Ducks turn?

Graeme: Got the over in the last one. This one I don’t know – it was a good performance from the Knights, but getting zig zag vibes here and happy to take Ducks incl OT at home. No big reason other than they can be so erratic and on the day think they are good enough to get the win.
