We’ve got just one series in the current round of NHL Playoffs to go, and it could be wrapped up tonight.
The Canadiens are at home to the Buffalo Sabres, up 3-2, and coming off a huge win.
The Knights vs Avalanche series, the Western Conference Finals, kicks off on Wednesday.
Let’s get to what will hopefully be the final game of this series!
Canadiens vs Sabres Game 6 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Sabres were leading 3-2 after the 1st but the Habs scored the next 4 and came away 6-3 winners in Buffalo. The intensity was still there but there wasn’t any penalties in the 1st. The Habs went a percect 2-2 on the powerplay.
With game 6 in Montreal I would think that the Canadiens should get the job done here. They surely don’t want to let it go to 7 games where it’s back in Buffalo.
I picked them to win the series so I guess that’s what I’ll be playing tonight Canadiens win in regulation. There hasn’t been a game go to overtime yet in this series. I would much prefer including overtime but the odds for that are below our minimum so have to add the regulation win.
Graeme: I’m happy to stick with advanced metrics, especially in a game like this, and go with player props. Had the nice one last time out with Zucker getting at least a point.
Going to go with a different logic here from the Ducks/Knights – in that I expect Sabres to play their game more, with the Habs feeling the pressure a bit more at home to wrap it up so will focus on a player prop from them.
So based on advanced metrics on the road – lets go with Jack Quinn at least a point at 2.10 odds.

I’m happy to see that in addition to playoffs, hockey is generating good news and entertainment. The PWHL expanded, which is huge positive news to MILLIONS of hockey fans. Coach firings and team prospects are hot news. Torts flies his own flag instead of being a corporate drone. Manon Rheaume hired as GM in new PWHL team Detroit and she is the only female who ever played a game in the NHL (Tampa).
Montreal at home aiming for Round 3, while Buffalo is desperate, mostly lagging behind Montreal in most stats. I expect a good effort from Buffalo, but Buffalo takes too many penalties are are the worse in the special teams area.
Montreal is spreading around the scoring, as Buffalo no doubt is trying to shut down Suzuki and Caufield. Players like Newhook are worth a look for an OVER 1.5 shots bet.
I like the Slafkovsky OVER 2.5 shots. Demidov to get at least 1 point, at x1.80 looks tempting. Full game OVER 5.0 is a nice addition to a parlay.
WOW, 100% full predictions! Extra insane the focus was on all Habs players and yet they got crushed, yet they managed with the necessary shots/points. Wished I had taken Demi…. that goal was a beauty!!
