Two more teams bite the dust in big losses last night, as the Wild and Ducks both ran roughshod over the Stars and Ducks, and progressed to the next round.
The Oilers will be an interesting team to watch during the off-season. They just didn’t feel ‘right’ all season and I think we’ll see a lot of changes.
Could be the same for the Stars. I mentioned a few times during the regular season how they just didn’t seem the Stars of previous years; they weren’t a team I had anywhere near as much confidence in like I did in previous years.
Both Scott and I called the Wild to win the series prediction correctly, and we both called it in 6 as well so that was pretty cool.
We did NOT call the Ducks. I knew their offense was going to be trouble, but I thought their goals conceded would be an issue against tthat offense.

Scott: Well the Habs have a shot at winning this series and doing it on home ice. Was nice to see Gallagher play in his first game this postseason and have him score was a big boost.
Dobes has been great and the whole team has played on a different level. If they can win here and gain themselves an extra couple days of rest it would be helpful going forward.

Graeme: So many tight games between the two in this series. Very evenly matched and unfortunately I can’t back either side based on that, as the odds aren’t there.
With Tampa backs against the wall, and a high pressure game for Montreal on home ice, I’m going to back based on the theory of a bit more looseness in this game. It’s only went over once all series, but I am going with Over 5.5 incl OT.

Bruins vs Sabres Game 6 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Bruins managed to keep their postseason alive when they beat the Sabres 2-1 in overtime in game 5. For the Bruins and their fans it must have been a nice sight to see Pastrnak score his 2nd of the playoffs and they are going to need more from him to stay alive.
I still see the Sabres winning this series. It may be a little tougher with it being in Boston but they have won twice there already.

Graeme: Buffalo head to Boston where they have already won twice which is pretty crazy – I was WAY off on this series as I thought Boston woud be able to take this series if they could snag home ice advantage.
So I’m going to go with a player prop and I will base it on advanced metric data from Games 3 & 4. No real logic behind that other than it seems like a fun approach.
Byram no surprise is the obvious candidate and at 2.30 to get a point – I’m probably going to regret passing that up. But I am going to go with Jason Zucker at least 1 point at 2.10 odds. A lower TOI obviously, but I like what he did in that time.

Mammoth vs Knights Game 6 Betting Tips:
Scott: Games 4 and 5 both needed overtime to be settled. The Knights didn’t tie game 5 up until there was less than a minute remaining in the 3rd.
I have no idea who’s going to win this game. I had picked the Knights but I clearly underestimated the Mammoth. I suppose I’ll just go with my original pick of the Knights to win the series and to do that they have to win 1 of the next 2 games.
