Are the Carolina Hurricanes going to log back to back sweeps? It certainly looks like it.
Fresh off their sweep of the Ottawa Senators, the Hurricanes hand out an absolute battering last night, as they went to Philly and demolished them 4-1.
As they say – it’s always sunny in Philadelphia, except when a hurricane hits town, I guess.
Game 4 is tomorrow.
We turn our attention to tonight. We’ve got game 2 in the Sabres vs Canadiens series. Buffalo ran wild in that game to take the victory, and we’ve got a tied series between the Knights and the Ducks.
Sabres vs Canadiens Game 2 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Habs need to stop giving the Sabres powerplays as the Sabres are a dangerous and deep team and took advantage of the man advantage going 2 for 3.
The Habs outshot the Sabres 28-16 and also out hit them. I would expect game 2 to be better game from the Habs although I didn’t think they looked bad in game 1.
Canadiens win incl OT
Graeme: I mean I said it in my series predictions – Buffalo just feel like more of a playoff team to me. That game sucked but it wasn’t a big surprise.
I’m a bit conflicted here as I want to take the Sabres to win, but 1.74 odds doesn’t seem too much value. I’m tempted by in regulation, but then I think about how tight the Habs/Tampa series was. And we often see a completely different Game 2.
Regardless, I think I am going to roll the dice on it. Sabres in Regulation for me as I just feel that they are the stronger side. I’m tempted by the over but the advanced metrics are not a fan of it at all.
Ducks vs Knights Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Ducks won game 2 to tie the series 1-1. They scored the first 2 goals of the game and added an empty net at the end. Stone scored for the Knights with only 6 seconds left.
The Ducks have been the better 2 through the first 2 games. They have outshot them in both games and now head to Anaheim for games 2 and 3.
